This dog is my saving grace. Shes exactly what I prayed for. She made many friends today.

I’m in desperate need of an on campus job but I need my service dog in training (SDiT) to be able to attend so we can’t do anything that involves food service. I’m a SOIS student with a GIS minor and my degree revolves around cybersecurity, poli sci, criminal justice and AI. I’m in-between my second and third year.
I tried to get a job in IT but the director never responded to my emails even when my friend tried to help me get the job.
Would love something tech related.
I need to make some drastic changes to my meds but don’t want to do so without intense supervision because of past history with negative reactions. I am working with a psychiatrist and a therapist but I want more support. I can’t do PHP because I have a sleep disorder that means I can’t get up early enough for group and I can’t do inpatient because I am in the process of training my service dog and leaving for too long would mess her life up big time.
I have a service dog for PTSD and neurological issues. I can answer the 2 questions of the ADA and she stays under my control at all times when we are in public. I got sexually assaulted and want to go to file a report (I was told by the sheriff’s department to call 911 then 911 told me I’d need to go in-person) but was wondering if it would be too much of an inconvenience to the precinct to accommodate my SD? Bringing my service dog would allow me to go at times that my support person isn’t available. Should I call ahead to let them know that my dog will be accompanying me.
Ever since I was little I desperately wished I was catholic/had a connection to some kind of long standing tradition
I am not the type of person to be accepted in Catholic spaces generally. I’m a trans disabled black adoptee who is queer and polyamorous. I have spent much of my life being abused for things I could never control. It has kept me from a relationship with G-d for a long time and I want that to change now that I am in a safer place. The way I swear I’ve felt the Holy Spirit before on other matters before I feel the desire to be catholic is stronger than ever but I don’t want to participate in anything we’re if have to lie to gain entry or acceptance. Church shopping just kinda seems like a fluke and a hoax because it feels like I’m cherry picking/over looking some really big red flags. I’m fine if I’m not accepted on all levels but I want a church that I’m baseline safe at to attend with my service dog.
The reason I want to go to church instead of practice on my own is because the sense of community is really important to me and I also really believe in the Franciscan desire to serve the poor. I don’t have the means to do that on my own but would love to volunteer time and energy to helping church efforts
How do other diverse individuals find alignment with what the Bible teaches verses what its teachings have become?
I’m not talking mobility tasks. I just want to upgrade my my dog’s vest to more of a backpack setup so I can have her carry her own things while she’s working when I have to recover from back surgery and can’t bring my tactical bag everywhere. My roller bag is not very sufficient and I can’t have it above a certain weight capacity
I plan to keep my dog’s bag as light as possible by filling it almost exclusively with consumables
It’s most likely going to have:
My meds
A small bladder of water for her in case of emergencies (we get intense temperatures but we mostly work in doors)
A back up meal in case we are out late
Spare booties
Her doggles
It happened April 15th.. have I miss my window
Add: I’m in upstate NY
When I was a first time handler I was taught that if they are doing PA bath should be every 4-6 weeks. I’ve had some people tell me that’s too frequent so I’m coming to people here to hear how often they are washing their dogs. This is my first GR SD my last one was a lab and far easier on the grooming. Something I am going to change is do brushing near daily (metal comb and slicker doing line brushing)
