Why so much ranged healing?

I've just discovered this system and I like it a lot, especially how it converts a lot of D&D stuff into Star Wars friendly material. But one thing stuck out to me, why are so many of the healing powers able to be done at range?

"Healing" in Star Wars is either done via Force abilities or by bacta/kolto enhanced first aid, all of which is done via physical contact: a bacta patch, a stimpack, ect. Meanwhile, many of the healing powers, especially the tech powers that I've seen, are able to be done at a range of 60 feet! What is that even supposed to look like in a Star Wars setting?

I understand most of these powers are converting D&D spells, but I don't really understand why the system didn't seem to account for the different in-universe mechanics for healing wounds.

[No spoilers] Does anyone know what Bolaire's homebrew subclass even does?

Taliesin has said that Bolaire's warlock subclass is homebrew, but besides a few spells that aren't otherwise on the warlock spell list, I cannot figure out what his subclass features are. Namely because he hasn't seemed to use them!

The non-warlock spells he's cast by the way are Command, Dissonant Whispers, Detect Thoughts, and Phantasmal Force. Incidentally, many of those are spells on the Great Old One spell list, though not all of them.
