Tritonia and Brown and White striped nudibranchs

PNW cold water diving - Gigantic Tritonia nudibranchs (most 6-8”) and brown and white striped nudibranchs were abundant. What wasn’t expected was the mass of them descending on a sea pen. Also, found a brown and white nudibranch in the middle of laying eggs - looks like a cartoon character sitting up. Wasn’t expecting that as every nudibranch laying eggs I’ve seen have been laying down.

The "Rubber Ducky" (scientific name: Siphopteron quadrispinosum

One of my favorites and the size of a grain of rice. This one is on the sand south of Kona. I’ve found in 20’ and 90’.

PNW Nudibranchs

Here are some of my favorites from my dive this week.

Dive 300 and saw about the same number of nudibranchs!!! Clearly mating season for the opalescent nudibranch. I’ve never seen SO MANY on one dive - it was unreal.
Pictured are the opalescent nudibranchs (orange tips), alabaster nudibranch (frosted white lined/tips), lemon dorid (looks like a 🍋), leopard dorid

The collection as of today

I use them all as called but love the artistry. Feel free to AMA. Yes I have Oracle in there too.
