Good sport, Izzy! Rawr!
To his credit, this hat is weird and looks too much like a butt.

Frodo (3yr Dorgi) and Samwise (2yr Daschund) playing together for the first time after recently adopting Samwise. Thought this Reddit thread would enjoy!
She's 88% Pembroke. Her big sister is a pure tri-color for reference lol
Betty is finally home and feeling better after being hospitalized for 3 days this week. This has been a very scary event and I learned some invaluable information that I wanted to share for those who are not aware of hemorrhagic gastroenteritis (HGE) or acute hemorrhagic diarrhea syndrome (AHDS). I’ve had plenty of dogs with vomiting and diarrhea before - even bloody diarrhea. But I’ve never experienced something like this and I hope I never do again! The onset of this is very rapid and the risk of death is very high without aggressive treatment. Betty was perfectly normal all weekend and then around 8 PM Sunday evening she suddenly began acting very strange. She was pacing and seemed distraught. Shortly thereafter she began to vomit. Then had some diarrhea a bit after that. No blood yet but she was increasingly restless and uncomfortable. She started tensing up her belly over and over and seemed very lethargic. Over the next couple of hours she continued pawing at the door to go outside where she would pace and try to poop. I would try to get her to lay down in bed with me but she was shaking and tensing up and could not rest. I finally decided to take her to the emergency vet around 11. Upon arrival she was violently shaking and panting so they gave her a methadone shot for pain. They were quite busy so we didn’t get to see a doctor until closer to 1. She took Betty to the back for a physical exam and ultrasound which showed her intestines were very inflamed and aggravated. She also had a little bit of blood in her poop at this point. They gave her a shot for nausea then brought her back to the room to discuss options for further treatment and diagnostics. By this time it was 2 AM and our regular vet opened at 7. At this point none of us were aware how critical the situation was. I was not prepared to spend thousands of dollars for everything at the ER so I opted to take her home and try to rest for a few hours and then get her to her primary vet as soon as they opened. The ER vet was supportive of this plan and sent us home with subcutaneous fluids, a dose of probiotics, and a dose of something to help firm the stools. Unfortunately after we got home, no rest was in sight. She continued to decline all morning. I called her vet at 7 to describe the situation and he said “bring her in immediately.” By the time we arrived she was practically unresponsive. They got her set up with IV fluids and also took some blood for lab work. Labs indicated she was hypoglycemic and her body was trying to go into septic shock. She was hospitalized through Wednesday. She spent most of Thursday sleeping - she was happy to be in her own bed. Today she seems more like herself but still a little weak and tired. Fortunately due to the quick action of her vet and the miracle of modern medicine, she survived but it’s very upsetting to think of how close we came to losing her. If your dog ever shows a sudden onset of severe symptoms like this - don’t wait! Seek treatment right away! She went from perfectly normal to near-death in under 12 hours!
he (3yr male Dorgi) loves anything with stuffing!!!
Our dog Stitch is 12 and unfortunately progressed rapidly to the next level of kidney disease and is declining. We took her to a professional pet photographer for some shots. We don't know how long we have with her but I'm glad we got these great pictures.
Yesterday we had to put down our beloved Corgi Butters! Maybe we can send this Video a last time around the world! I loving Memory ♥️♥️♥️
It’s hard to get a pic, because Waylon always leaps up when he sees me! The first time he did this, I was very concerned and asked the vet haha. I learned the term “sploot” from a lovely corgi owner at the dog park.
His name is Waylon (the rescue litter all had country singer names and we kept it) and he’s is 10 months old. He loves a good sploot (I can’t believe I don’t have any pics of that!), but he also loves to herd the family around the house by nipping heels and stealing socks right off the kids’ feet (we’ve actually almost got all of that trained out, but he gets excited sometimes). He loves to make up obstacle courses in the backyard and sprint them over and over... Leap the log, 3 laps around that tree, go around the garden and repeat! He’s also loves being trained to do tricks and asks me to do it all the time. He has 10000 times the energy of our other rescue, 3 years old Timbit, a Pomeranian mix. But they still have a great time together and lots of snuggles.
The vet early on said she saw corgi in him. He just seems to get longer and not taller every month haha. His mom was supposedly a chihuahua x maltese, and the rest of the litter were blonde, with the exception of a brown tea-cup chihuahua. I might pay to do his DNA one day because it will be FASCINATING i’m sure.
But he’d really like to sit in my lap.
