No Bubbles

I’m actively cruising for shimmers and bubbles, trying to close out DNA for Sunfish, Whale Shark, etc. Since the beginning of yesterday I’ve seen about 25 shimmers, some of which I have successfully fished. Without any exaggeration, ZERO have produced bubbles. Is anyone else having this experience or am I suffering just really bad luck?

I just had something odd happen

I was fishing for the Blue Sea Dragon and low and behold....I hook one. I'm using the creature rod and a clover. I reel it all the way to the left and it should have been a catch...but then the mechanics "flipped". The more I reeled, especially in the perfect zone, the further to the right it went. When it finally got all the way to the right, I lost the creature.

I've never seen anything like it. I'm frustrated as I've never hooked a Blue Sea Dragon... but I'm more confused. Is this a known bug?

Catching Difficulty Ranking

I'm putting together a spreadsheet to help better track my DNA progress and want to be able to sort sea life by difficulty of catching.  Rarity doesn't cut it, there are plenty of "common" targets that are far from common.  I'd like to get your thoughts on my breakdown of "Difficult" through "Legendary" creatures & fish.  Anything to add or move around?

LEGENDARY - No shadow, no shimmer/bubbles, incredibly low spawn rate

Amazonian Manatee

Amazon Dolphin

Blob Fish

Blue Sea Dragon

Giant Cuttlefish

Irrawaddy Dolphin

Narwhal

Tin Can Hermit Crab

EXTREMELY DIFFICULT - No or rare shadow, no shimmer/bubbles, low spawn rate

Beluga

Goldfish

Harbor Seal

Hardyhead Silverside

Killer Whale

Leafy Sea Dragon

Polar Bear

DIFFICULT - No or rare shadow, can be caught with shimmer/bubbles, low spawn rate

Arapaima

Bull Shark

Giant Freshwater Whipray

Hoodwinker Sunfish

Lau Lau

Manta Ray

Ocean Sunfish

Scottish Salmon

Spotted Hand fish

Whaleshark

Strength

Seeing some conflicting information online regarding the overarching Strength perks and was hoping to get some clarification.  I have read that having a high strength directly correlates to catching bigger (higher star) fish.  Do you find this to be the case?  Or does having a high strength simply make it "easier" to reel in big fish?

I need help from humans

I haven't received sure fire guidance from AI on the problem so I'd love some support from you humans! My chili pequin is showing signs of stress with serious leaf cupping. The plant is in a raised bed that has clay further down below. Heavily composted, should be nutrient rich but maybe something is missing. I felt like this was a lack of water issue but at this point I'm second guessing everything I do.
