I’ve gone through the other posts on this sub related to DP but still can’t land him. The parrot keeps telling me more strength but I’m lvl 10 and have 8 points in strength. How is that not enough? I’m using the monster rod. Why can’t I reel this dude in?

Cap’n Slappy is asking for 100 pieces of wood, and I still need a couple dozen for other projects. It just seems like an exaggerated ask.
I’m actively cruising for shimmers and bubbles, trying to close out DNA for Sunfish, Whale Shark, etc. Since the beginning of yesterday I’ve seen about 25 shimmers, some of which I have successfully fished. Without any exaggeration, ZERO have produced bubbles. Is anyone else having this experience or am I suffering just really bad luck?
Got him! Finally… also snagged my first whale shark today by accident on a fiberglass rod.
I was fishing for the Blue Sea Dragon and low and behold....I hook one. I'm using the creature rod and a clover. I reel it all the way to the left and it should have been a catch...but then the mechanics "flipped". The more I reeled, especially in the perfect zone, the further to the right it went. When it finally got all the way to the right, I lost the creature.
I've never seen anything like it. I'm frustrated as I've never hooked a Blue Sea Dragon... but I'm more confused. Is this a known bug?
I’ve been stuck missing the same 7 creatures for the last 3 days. In that time I’ve gotten a grand total of 10% closer on the ocean sunfish. I’m open to clever suggestions if anyone has help.
Farmed this area pretty hard, went through 4 rods and shortly after my clover expired I find Baby’s big sister!
Do anyone know how to fix this i try clearing data, uninstalling game and reinstall and also tried to change the Google account and also tried to switch back to my main account but still showing same.

I'm putting together a spreadsheet to help better track my DNA progress and want to be able to sort sea life by difficulty of catching. Rarity doesn't cut it, there are plenty of "common" targets that are far from common. I'd like to get your thoughts on my breakdown of "Difficult" through "Legendary" creatures & fish. Anything to add or move around?
