Transition from a current plan to a new plan a real hassle for anyone else?

Due to some lifestyle changes I have to reset some goals and priorities. Long story short I’m shifting to a race ideally later in the year. Got Runna to build me a new plan. Firstly, it was really resistant to letting me set my maximum mileage and run length unless I selected Elite? Secondly, it feels like it just doesn’t take into account any workout history whatsoever? Not even the PRs it has on record or from cross over with Strava. Has anyone else encountered this?

It’s making me feel confused about when to select the start date for the new plan because it’s setting some really weird distance goals etc and starting out really tame and underestimating my running up until this point

Question about Quasar

Sorry for the basic question! I don’t want to google because #spoilers.

I’m up to where Quasar has negotiated for the continuation of the secondary program. But wasn’t Carl already obligated to participate given the contract he made on the third floor? Or was the subject to be cancelled if the show got cancelled? Sometimes the mechanics of certain elements of the storyline’s slip by me too quickly! I love they don’t overdo recap exposition but as the books get more and more intricate it’s easy to get lost in some of the details - although I am catching onto the fact that he’s now intentionally revealing the significance of things to you as they unfold ie how events were set up or planned so if this is one of those situations, feel free to say so!

When do I (you) make the time again? Where do I start?

I recently bought a ROG Ally X hoping that it would encourage me to pick up gaming again. My indecision and concentration levels mean I’m not so focused on playing huge triple A titles anymore (I mean, I sold my PS5 while in the first act of CE33. It was clearly a beautiful game, but I just found the mechanics/scope so overwhelming etc when I just want to ease in and lose myself for a while). I’m not saying never, I just need a break from that stuff. So think more indie titles and stuff that quirky and pick up/put down. I got Slay the Spire, and I totally get the appeal but something always has me turning to my book or a movie or something instead. I’m just wondering how people juggle multiple hobby interests with gaming, which games help, and where they put that time. I’m in recovery from some mental/physical health stuff and would love another avenue for getting outside my head a little and do genuinely miss it.

I’ve bought Dave the Diver, Disco Elysium, Firewatch, and have access to CP77 and a few others. I still do want to try things like Dark Souls etc, but just find I’m probably looking for stuff that engages you a little differently than CE33 which felt like I had to do so much on the side to get through the story (which I was really into) but maybe I was playing it wrong (for my purposes) and the perfectionist in me takes over and that’s part of the problem

Keen to hear other people’s experience using the strength programming?

Do the Runna strength workouts also wildly underestimate duration time for other people or am I just moving through things incredibly slowly? I don’t feel like I drag my way through them, and I even cut the rest periods short. But the proposed 1 hour always takes me at least 30 minutes longer than predicted and I’m starting to find them such a drag. I’m always wondering if I drop down from 4 to 3? Any thoughts? How much do you guys incorporate strength?

The repetition is also a killer, as someone who doesn’t typically care for strength and wouldn’t be that focused on it if it weren’t for the advantages I know it offers in terms of injury prevention and the like. Plus, I just find the lack of options for tweaking the daily workout a real drawback ie not being able to move exercises around to pair with equipment/gym environment etc.

I also ride a bit for cross training which has dropped off in favour of strength and to decrease how much cardio I was doing outside of running (eliminated HIIT/functional conditioning style strength as well due to clear joint fatigue and the like - it was overkill as a runner with no benefit) but trying to get that in a 2-3 times a week too as I enjoy it way more even though obviously serves an entirely different purpose/can risk overload

Keen to hear how other people are taking advantage of the strength options and/or what frustrations or tips you might have

Book #4 question (includes spoiler)

Hey crawlers

I’m caught up on such a silly detail relatively early on in the book, and I’m not sure if it’s just because I’m still trying to wrap my head around a lot of new information about the level all at once (never mind their weird gifts etc) - but I’ve just finished the chapter where they beat Ruckus (so, don’t need info beyond that). But the whole time leading up to it I couldn’t figure out how or when they found out about this boss. I think I get Carl wanted to specifically test his missiles. But all out of nowhere a bit earlier Katia asks something like ‘seen the bird yet’ or something. And I’m like, what bird? Anyway. It’s small. But clearly the bird also is meaningful to the lore/AI so I’m just trying to make sense of when they came to even know about it…

Hope someone can help! Without saying more about what happens next of course please!

Feedback for the strength programming

I’m still in my free trial phase, heading into the second week. It was a perk for me to be able to have the feature of getting someone to do the decision making around strength, as it’s my least favourite movement to plan/organise etc. My promise feedback for the feature though is the way 1. Whatever AI generated system programs the workouts makes zero accommodations for the logical sequencing of sets/supersets with it comes to equipments - I think I must lose 30 mins just wandering back and forth in the gym. And 2. Even if they just threw that at you, at least let me move the sets/supersets around in order to make it work for myself so that I don’t have to go back and forth when I would much prefer to group things together that are in the same area/require the same equipment.

Sure I could hypothetically copy out and rearrange the work out or tick off out of order, but as someone who would likely very quickly forget or lose track and just wants to follow it in order, that level of built in flexibility before hitting play would be a real upgrade and presumably an easy one - just like moving the calendar around
