Notebook template recommendations.

I'm looking for different templates for the device.

Is there a place specific to Viwoods where we can purchase templates? Where do you go?

Is anyone using a pdf with clickable links? I was on an ipad using goodnotea. But, I'm liking this better. How well does this device handle those?

Do you synce with a lot of calendars?

I bought this specifically for journaling, study, and notes. I was planning to keep it offline. I told myself maybe I'll turn it into a full planner and connect it online. The past few days I'm really loving the calendar layout, with tasks and notes. Now I'm thinking about turning it into a planner.

So my daily schedule is packed with meetings from 4 different projects. The other calendars I have are: school, teaching, events, and bills.

Does anyone one have a lot of calendars syncing with viwoods? Can you show how that looks like on the calendar page with the monthly and weekly view?

New Case

I went to Diaso today and found an A7 notebook. I added 3 metal disc and the metal cutout disc from XTEINK. It's nicely secure. I might end up getting an extra plastic case and glue that in. But, testing it this way first.

I like taking notes or grabbing quotes from books. I feel like this combo makes it easy for me. There's A7 notebooks available for purchase too. Sometimes diaso carries them. Not bad for an item under $5.00

I need clarification on the epubs for the X4

This is still new to me. I was part of the amazon eco. When I started reading comments about epubs and where download, a lot talked about drm free. I did purchase a drm free book. I'm almost done so I'm on the hunt for another book. But, does it have to be drm free? Can I purchase a book from lets say ebooks.com thats in the epud format and still read it on the X4? I saw a few other posts and comments that left me confused. But, I think I can read any epub, and it doesn't need to be drm free. I just have to purchase it from a space that has the ability for me to download. Am I understanding this correctly?

I would only need calibre if the fonts and layout from the epub were a bit odd. Calibre would fix it for me? But, this is where more confusion set in. To fix the layout and fonts, does the epub need to be drm free?

Sorry for the confusion but thanks so much for your patience!

It's been a week and I'm so happy

I decided to stick with the original firmware. Which has been fine for my use. I still want flashcards. But, for now I'm content with just reading. I've read more this week than the past month. It's surprisingly very low effort to pick up and use. I only have one book on it so I can be focused. Too many choices makes it difficult for me to read.

I decided to install the metal rings in my TN. I used 2 instead of 1. 1 didn't feel secure.

I'm happy. I want another one for absolutely no reason at all.

Just came in. I'm excited and concerned.

I've been reading a lot lately about this little eink reader and made the purchase. From what I've been reading I need to install crosspoint and calibre to read books. I also need to look for books that are drm free. And then I'm good to go.

I'm coming from the amazon eco system. I won't be transferring my books there for now. Sounds like a complicated thing to do for my little experience. Maybe when I'm a bit more comfortable.

But, my main draw was seeing static pages of badges from one of the ads. And it made me think I can create a book like flash cards. What Ive read so far is I create a pdf in the size for the xteink, then convert to an epub. If I want images included in the flash cards I would save them in jpg then convert to epub. I'm still researching this too.

Am I missing anything to get myself started?

Are my understandings correct?

Little concerned only because I came from Kindle. And can I seriously do this?! But, doing the set up and creating my own stuff feels like a nice a customization.

I appreciate any feedback.

Thanks!

Can this bracelet be made without crochet?

I really like the look of these bracelet. I crochet so I figure I'd give it a try. And I am struggling. I normally don't crochet with such a thin thread. My tension is a bit too tight. But, I am enjoying beading with a needle and thread. I assume there's a pattern somewhere. But my searches always come back with beaded crochet. I'm so new to beading I'm probably not searching correctly.

What search terms should I be using to find a similar pattern?

Also, I purchased these online.

When I aceo started for me it was through artist trading card stamp swaps. I still have a lot of my old stamp frames and backs for aceos. They might actually say artist trading cards.

Is this still a thing? Do people use stamps to make aceos?

I can't believe I made this. I've seen other bracelets around and I wanted to make something similar. So I bought all the things and started reading the tutorial and realize I had no clue what any of the stitches were. Even though the pattern had great images it made no sense. So I watched you tube videos. I think I started and stopped this project 6 times. Messing up on each line, starting over and slowing not messing up. I finally made it to six lines without messing up and kept going. It was frustrating and fun at the same time. I have such a respect for beaders who do this other types of beadwork. The patience and care to make something beautiful. You're all amazing.

I'm happy how this turned out and now I'm making one for my son as a gift.
