As someone who has played a lot of survival games, I'm fairly used to the whole "All you see will one day become your Kingdom, but I won't tell you anything about it" shtick that a lot of them have. However, I have a really hard time judging my power level in this game or any real push from the game at the very beginning for a direction to start other than "BUILD HERE."

Currently, my wife and I are lvl 5 and we just collected the Hunter and Carpenter. However, similar to 7 Days, I've been holding onto Runes thinking that I might find a better weapon than I currently have but as I level, the loot really hasn't gotten a whole lot better and every mace I've found is still capped at 7 and has the same substats, so I finally decided to level the one I had.

Mats are weird because even when you know recipes, they don't have a recipes description of their own to show what you've learned you can use them to make so you have to always go to a bench or the crafting menu that shows you shit you can't even make yet because you haven't found the Survivor that you can craft the bench from yet. It's just really inexplicably confusing imo.

I get that it's a survival game with exploration, but I am having a hard time having purpose other than "I guess I'll go to the waypoint on the map." I really do like the side quests though as those feel very organic and like you are engaging with the world.
