Brother in Law find

My BIL saw Limp back in like 99ish? He found their demo tape from when he grabbed one off the table in Worcester.

Absolutely wild find in his room!

Possibly a stupid question...

Hi there fellow wordy boys and girls...

Ive seen armies posted that both have the black pauldrons and the full reddish ones. Ive come to understand the black pauldrons were for Monarchia or other mourning events. Is there a reason I don't see the black ones often in like 40k media? Like looking at book covers for Apostle, or the Omnibus, etc?

Is there a cut off point? Is it totally nonsensical to have my army a mix of them? Im very much newer to the tabletop and just acquiring random things. I got a legionary killteam I've painted, then got a combat patrol for CSM, and I have some older MK2 heresy models as well. I've never actually played, just been reading novels, playing Warhammer video games, etc for a number of years.

Thanks for any guidance.

First killteam

Been playing Warhammer video games, and reading novels for decades. I've finally let myself fall ass over head down the slippery slope to painting. So here's my first kill team that I made.

...I require more now.
