Hello party planners and game geniuses!

It’s my birthday week and I want to host a murder mystery picnic for my friends (25-33 ages) and I think we’re around 10 (hoping nobody cancels). I’m thinking of having a garden themed/bridgerton (not sure what works).

Here’s my dilemma, I’ve done picnics with board games before but this one is new and I would love to hear if you think it’s hard to make a murder mystery from scratch or if it’s easier to buy one? I’m not sure if I can spend a lot on the game (running low on budget as a student) to personalise it but I would love to make one myself if it’s possible. Any tips/suggestions would be appreciated!

Hello! I’m hosting a murder mystery party for my birthday for a couple of friends. The caveat is that although all of them speak English and understand it very well, they aren’t native speakers. Not sure how hard usually the kits are and they aren’t avid puzzlers. Any recommendations on the puzzle kits?
