Looking for art buddies

Hi everyone. I love to draw and paint. However I sometimes struggle to sit down and get things done because I have ADHD. I do have an accountability buddy who is consistent, but want more since we only get to do time blocks once or twice a week, because our schedules interfere. So I made a discord for artists that are struggling to create art.

In the discord you will find prompts, weekly goals, an art session channel where you can request a time block or for someone to remind you to get things done. There’s also tutorials and references to videos on overcoming procrastination, a channel where you can share your art, etc.

I am 37 (f) and my art style is surrealist, dark, and expressionistic. But I dabble with many styles such as abstract, landscapes, portrait art, pour painting, impressionistic, etc. I mainly paint and draw, but getting into digital art. I don’t like to share my art on Reddit (yet) unless it’s via DMs or the discord group I created.

The only rules I have is that you must be over eighteen, consistent, and respectful. Let me know if interested.

37 (f) we need more accountability buddies to join our art Discord server

Hi. I created a Discord server with the intention of having a small group to help each other out when it comes to drawing and painting. It is mainly for people struggling to sit down and create art.

It is five of us so far, but some of us are still struggling, so I thought I might extend the invitation to some more people. Serious inquiries only. You do not have to draw or paint everyday, but you have to want to put effort into sitting down at least once a week to draw.

The group has resources to channels and videos to help you learn, and to help beat procrastination. We also have daily prompts that can help you if you don’t know what to draw. Additionally, we have Art Sessions, where we request for help. Whether it be a reminder or setting a time block with someone to draw at the same time, same day, even if you are not in the same state or country. Lastly we set goals for the week, and check in at the end of the week to see if we were able to complete our goals.

DM if genuinely interested and willing to commit. As I said, it doesn’t have to be a daily thing. You just have to want to set time aside to draw at least once a week, and help those struggling by reminding them to get things done.

Edit: Adults only please. Eighteen and over.

Edit: Closed. Thanks to everyone who reached out. I will be responding to those who are serious about this and respond in a mature manner.

One thing I learned about the local art scene is that it’s not about talent, it’s about marketing and who you know. At least in my area. Thus, I enrolled to study business, so I can successfully market myself.

I do have a few concerns however. It would be full time, and I still need to work to pay my bills. I’m wondering if I will have enough time to juggle everything. To those who studied business, how did you manage to go to school, work, and create art? Would you even recommend what I want to do?

Some people say you don’t need to study business in order to make a living out of what you love. I have met people who have created businesses and never studied business. So, I’m thinking things through. I got a few weeks to decide. I love creating art and I don’t want it to fall into the back burner if I take this route.

Hi everyone. As stated, I’m looking for an accountability buddy for art. I love drawing and painting, but I sometimes struggle to concentrate. I would love to have someone I can have drawing/painting sessions a few times a week. Or alternatively, to create a group of maybe 4-5 people so we can help keep ourselves on track and have art sessions together. Hit me up if interested. I’ll reply as soon as possible.
