Neuroscience MSc -- What is going on (with the status of my documents)? Is this normal?

Hi, r/Uniwien,

I'm a prospective international (non-EU) student that applied for the Neuroscience master's program for the winter 26/27 semester at the University of Vienna.

Applications closed on 04.07 (April 7th) and I received only one amendment request for my passport, which I provided on 04.05 (April 5th).

Since then, it's been radio silence. Checking my application documents, it's shocking to me that only two (!!!) of my documents have been "Approved", while others are still showing "Upload confirmed" or "Registered".

Documents' status - only two have been approved

I even e-mailed the program coordinator last week to ask when admissions decisions will be made and this was his response:

*"*Dear wildtots,

we expect the selection panel to make their decision around the mid of May. As soon as there will be any decision made, you will be informed via e-mail.

Kind regards,

Thomas Kienegger"

So, guys, is this normal? We're already in the "mid of May", yet I only have two documents approved and my overall application status shows, "In process".

Interview: MSc - Oncology at Notts

Hi,

I’m a prospective international student who’s been invited for an interview to the Master of Science — Oncology program at the University of Nottingham.

So far, I’ve only received the email informing me that the interview is required for further consideration of my application and that details of the interview will follow in another email.

Therefore, I’d like to ask those who’ve undergone this interview for this program:

  1. How many interviewers were there? Were you provided the name(s) of your interviewers beforehand?
  2. What were the questions like — oncology-related, behavioral, scenario-based, motivation for choosing the course, critical appraisal of a scientific paper, etc.?
  3. What did you prepare for that ended up being helpful during your interview?
  4. What are they really looking for in terms of one’s answers?
  5. Any question(s) that stomped you or felt like a “gotcha!” question?
  6. Any general tips/pieces of advice to share?

If you are/have (or know anyone who’s) doing/done this program, I’d be grateful to hear back from you!

Cheers!
