How wobbly should my ankles be?
Hey kings and queens,
I recent bought my first pair of inlines in a UK size 10 Bauer XR, after returning an older model in a 10.5 because they felt too big and dangerously insecure at the ankles.
Now I love my XR's and they feel much better than the prior skates. But it still feels like my ankles could go one way or the other when I step. I can accept that I might have weak ankles ('wankles' I call 'em), but is it worth trying a 9?
I have tried on the 9 and 10 in the shop and at the time the 10's felt perfect in the foot itself (about 1"-1.5" toe wiggle room). But now I'm feeling insecure with no frame of reference.
Any insight would be greatly appreciated, as I'm not really sure how they're 'supposed' to feel. Thanks a lot!
