How wobbly should my ankles be?

Hey kings and queens,

I recent bought my first pair of inlines in a UK size 10 Bauer XR, after returning an older model in a 10.5 because they felt too big and dangerously insecure at the ankles.

Now I love my XR's and they feel much better than the prior skates. But it still feels like my ankles could go one way or the other when I step. I can accept that I might have weak ankles ('wankles' I call 'em), but is it worth trying a 9?

I have tried on the 9 and 10 in the shop and at the time the 10's felt perfect in the foot itself (about 1"-1.5" toe wiggle room). But now I'm feeling insecure with no frame of reference.

Any insight would be greatly appreciated, as I'm not really sure how they're 'supposed' to feel. Thanks a lot!

My XBOX PC app won't boot at all even after reset, reinstall, repair.

Title. Any tips? Did I accidentally delete something?

I reset it, the miscrosoft store (which is fully updated) and Microsoft Gaming Services too. I reinstalled it from the Microsoft Store.

Understanding skate sizes for a newbie EASY QUESTION

So I'm wanting to buy some Bauer size 10's for my size UK 11 men's feet. I heard to go a size under but that bauers ran a little big.

Some Mission 10.5's felt very wobbly on my ankles so I had to return them. Give me the downlow Kings...

Thanks!

What axels will these require?

Hi!

Just bought these, some Labeda Gripper wheels and some laces. I think its just axles left? I'm pretty confused by the axle sizes.

I've tried googling for Proto VI axles but I'm a bit lost in the sauce. Do I need Hi-Lo ones?

Hey guys,

I need a new hobbie.

So I've signed up to a Saturday roller hockey club. I need some inlines but since I'm a beginner I wanted to know what some semi-decent skates would be for under 100.

I can't commit to expensive skates for a taster session, but want to not be hampered and thought you guys would know best.

I'm considering these ones?

But would love to hear other ideas.

Sorry for generic question. Thanks!

Edit: I want to INB4 people saying that this price range I will not get anything good. I am well aware. I just want something useable because I'm not about to drop £150 on something I haven't even tried yet.

Hi!

About me:

I work as Location Marshal in TV and Film. I'm at the beginning of my career, but my last project was in March and before that November.

I currently work in fiction (AKA 'Scripted') in the UK. My background is in TV Documentary (AKA 'Unscripted') as a Resesrcher and Runner.

As a Location Marshal, my job is to take care of the deeply unsexy things on a set. I love the chaos and graft of my job. One day I'd like to transition onto TV research and development, or the storytelling aspects.

Why this:

This is the first month in a while I have been able to pay my rent without my GF's help.

She knows I am just starting a new career and never complains, but I want to start pulling my weight. I'm very good at my job, but my industry is one of the most competitive in the country. I have to fight for every opportunity as a small fish in a big pond.

So I want structure and accountability because I am a Class A procrastinator. I want to buy things, furnish my flat because we live out of boxes still, I'm sick of being poor and I want to pursue hobbies again.

Potential pitfalls:

Minor weed addiction, dopamine control, anxiety Overwatch.

‐-------------------------‐------------------------‐------------------------------

Day 1

I'll be keeping a general log of productivity as well. Also, to note, I'll be flipping the script and considering rejections as succeses. This is because you will naturally get a low percentage of jobs you apply for in my industry. And this rejection is the most exhausting aspect of my industry.

What happened today

- Got rejection email by the team at a large iconic film studio. Not a 'production company' but a huge studio house. Very cool.

- Sent out 4 messages on [redacted film database website].

- Sent 3 messages on LinkedIn to Location Managers.

- Cold called 12 Location Managers and Assistants and spoke with 6. As a Location Marshal, they're my direct boss and resonsible for hiring me. Left messages as well.

- Called Mick Coper (name changed for privacy) as an LM I've worked with and he told me there was nothing happening and could I please let him know if there are any LM openings! 😭💀

Made him laugh and toed the line well with professionalism. Good stuff!

- Oversaw workmen fitting a new tap.

- Sent 2 follow up emails to people I had spoken to on LinkedIn.

- Spent half an hour learning Japanese.

Possible Leads

- Location Manager in my home town texted me last night saying we should meet up but he's on a shoot for the beginning part of this week. Could call him tomorrow but next week is better because he's a little flaky and his enthusiasm might not sruvive the weekend.

- A very big Location Manager told me, in a phone call, to email her Assistant Location Manager with my CV and references. So I have.

Observations

- My girlfriend is back late so I don't know when to stop working. Sad.

- 3 Games of Overwatch.

- Doing thks challenge has focussed me and made me feel less alone while looking for work. Thanks Reddit.

Goals

Tomorrow I think that it would be fun to double my numbers tomorrow. Apart from LinkedIn as it limits my messages even on a lremium account.
