How worth it is it to go into urban planner

I think the title looks the best for it, but I’m thinking I might want to be an urban planner. My goal is to one day live somewhere, I don’t really care about wear I live. I hope it’s somewhere I can be happy, and hopefully have a few dogs and a partner.
I would love to live in Northern California but I doubt I’ll ever be able to afford it

I’m in such a rush making a last minute decision before I start my college apps if I wanna go into education, urban planning or journalism. I’m decent at science, I’m horrible at math, and I’ve tried everything to get better but my Brain just seems to shutdown. I’m great at English and history. If I was to teach it would most likely be english since it’s my best subject. I thought about trades work but it’s so back breaking that I’m not sure I want to be broken by 40 lol. Anyway please help me.

Should I make my classes commitment page

Um I guess the title is kinda ovbs but I’m a rising highschool senior who starts in a month. Besides how scary that is, I wanna do another thing to keep me busy. As we know (or if you don’t know) it’s really common for graduating classes to have there own senior commitment posts. As well know most of these accounts Are student run! Anyways I’m wondering if I should run the account, becuse I am a canva graphic design WIZZ. Anyway that’s it, this rant was filled by Green Day background music.

witch would be the best pre law major, if i want to have a job prior to law school.

Hello, all of you people. I am a rising senior in high school, and this coming fall, I will be applying to colleges. My overall goal is to get a law degree and maybe work as an attorney. If I do take the bar exam to work as an attorney, I will likely want to work in civil rights law, helping people, or I would like to work as an immigration attorney. But the main reason that I am not choosing to go to college for a standard pre-law major like history, poli sci, or paralegal studies is for a few reasons. One of those is that I have heard that you need to pick something that you will enjoy for law school, and the only one of those I think I would enjoy is maybe history or poli sci. The second reason for this is that I do not plan to go to law school straight out of undergrad. Not to mention, I would also like to have a job after undergrad so that I can save up for law school, or maybe not even go to law school. But I am looking into journalism, communications, education, or something along those lines.

The main things that I would like to get out of a job or career iarea career that pays a wage where Ican live, nd have money to enjoy my social life and hhobbies I would also like a job that is flexible where i can both work in an office and at home, i would also like a job that allows for me to live in a city like philly, or even new york. But the place I live is something that I am willing to change. The last 2 things I need from my job are that I enjoy it and I don't dread going to work every day,y as I would not like to hate my life and make my depression and other conditions worse. The last thing that I would like from my work is that I am able to help animals or humans. lastly i would also like to be able to be a tad bit introverted.

Lastly, for some background about me as a person and a student, I have adhd, dyslexia, which is essainty numbret based dislexicia, i alos may be dyslexic and autistic. As previously stated, I also have depression and some other mental health stuff. But I am not great at math, and outside of gen ed requirements, I would like to avoid doing heavy math in college and in my career. The subjects that I have done best in include English, sociology, and my journalism class. For some personal information, my parents are going to pay for at least my freshman and sophomore years in college. Some of the non-school things that I enjoy doing include writing, making art and crafts, editing videos, listening to alternative rock, goth, and a lot of other kinds of heavy music. I also enjoy concerts, producing music, and advocating for animals, people, and especially the environment. I also enjoy debating political topics with people. Overall, I have a lot of different interests, ts and any help with my situation you can give me is much appreciated.

edit: i am so sorry, i didnt realize how long this is! i really did just go on a very long adhd ramble! i promise i am a better writter them this normally.

Jobs/majors for crafty people

Hey All of you, this post isn’t for me it’s for my friend, but she doesn’t have Reddit so I’m posting on behalf of her at her request. Firsrtly she is gonna be a senior this fall and start applying to college soon. But she’s somebody who is very artsy and artistically gifted. I personally have never seen somebody who can make better art than her. But she’s also very good at crafting stuff such as scrapbooking and making things. The best way to discribe this for her is that she is very good at working with her hands. She currently works as a teachers aid at an elementary school, and she doesn’t want to go into that field of work because she finds it very stressful and difficult for her. Lastly she also asked for me to include her personally type and some background about her situation. Sue is an INFJ according to her Myers Briggs. Her family is a middle class family, who can afford for half tution and she would like to graduate with good job prospects and with little to no debt. Lastly her favorite subjects are art, and English, and her least favorite are science (especially biology and chemistry) and math.
We both thank you all for this in advance; any comments that seem to be rude or negative will not be sent to her.

Why does it feel like if your bad at math your only option is to go into trades

Okay, hey everyone on the internet. This is more of a rant or vent post thing, but I want to see a discussion about it since I’m genuinely curious about this. For some background, I will not share much as I am a very private person. But I have a math based learning disability that has gone undiagnosed pretty much my whole life, I’m also autistic. Essentially I have spent most of my highschool career struggling with being neglected all throughout the school system since about 5th grade, and a covid learning gap when I tried to re teach myself basic math. Essentially, math makes me actually start crying. On top of alll of this, I also feel like the internet and people in my life make me feel stupid and like I shouldn’t be here. But, my dream job was a journalist and honestly I’ve found that they don’t make enough money to live in the places I want to live (a major east coast city). Essentially if i pursue my passions, I’ll be broke. The other thing is that I’ve found no matter what I look into, if I’m bad at math the only thing I can do that even makes a liveable income is law, but I’m not a huge fan of the idea of being a lawyer. Lastly, everyone online keeps pushing this idea of going to trade school, but well I think the trades are grade, and I respect people that go into that. I can’t ever see myself doing the trades and physically breaking myself. Okay, adhd and crying filled rant over, I hope yall enjoyed this haha.

What should I major in, if best at English and history.

Hello all of you lovely people out there on the internet! (If yoh are mean on here I will be blocking you). But for some context I am a rising senior in highschool, I plan to go to college. I am best at English and the humanities, and that is what I want to go to school for. I aim to get a bachelors, work for a while and then go get a masters. My favorite activity’s in my school are my English classes lol, as well as my schools mock government and multicultural unity clubs. I have been doing press and media work in those clubs for about 3 years. But I’m not a big fan of teaching anything lol especially not elementary or middle school, or being a lawyer. So anyway give me your advice and guidance about what jobs or majors would be best for me. (Reddit is limiting my amount of words so I can provide more information in the comments)

lost for post highschool plans

Hello everyone! Just note that, just like everything on this god awful site i will be taking this with a grain of salt.  But anyway, I have been going through a lot right now, as we all know college and most forms of higher education are beyond expensive. But anyway, I know I want to go to college, but I am a rising senior and have no idea what to go to school for. I really wanted to be a journalist, but they don't get paid much, plus many people told me to avoid it. My other plan was to be a teacher, but I doubt that I could actually teach with my accent and my stutter. I also thought about being a librari, an but there are not many job openings in that field and career path. If any of you have cool career paths that are like that, send them my way, or if you know what you want to do, feel free to share them.

Also, when it comes to picking a college based on just vibes and cost, I have 3 main top out of state chocies and that is the University of Minnesota, South Dakota State, UTK, or the University of Texas at Austin. For my in state choices i am looking into Shippensburg University, University of Pittsburgh, Temple University, or West Chester University.  once again, thank you for reading this, and I hope you have an amazing rest of your day, stranger on the internet.

Is animal science worth it, if not going pre vet

Hey guys. So tldr here, I’m not super interested in going to vet school. But I love animals. And I wanna know if it’s truly worth it to go get an animal science degree if I don’t wanna go to vet school.
my other options are also not things that you can get paid well at since outside of animal stuff and nature sciences I’m not good at science

Okay, for some background, I did some research and just saw that my GPA is 84.5303, witch transaltes to a 2.54. But anyway, I wanted to go to college, but I'm not adamant about going into the trades, cause i lowkey think I might be good at that kinda thing. But yeah, should I still have hope and try or should i look into trades.
