I’m listening to this episode and they got to the third nominee, who went to Ross University School of Medicine in Barbados. Michael asked if it was another for-profit school and Aubrey said she didn’t look into it because they wouldn’t do that again.

Edit: I don’t want to dunk on for-profit schools as they can have their place, I just don’t like how they feel very predatory and kinda scammy

I was going to post this last week, but we went to a Timbers game and pre-paid parking at a nearby lot. Thank goodness I took a screen shot of the payment, because when we got out of the game there was a ticket on our windshield. It was a (relatively) low fee, $54 if you paid within 48 days then it bumped up to $98.

My spouse thought we should just pay it but I was incensed. I double checked our account and the payment had gone through, because I was worried maybe I hadn’t finished the checkout process. I called the number on the ticket but the recording said if I wanted to dispute it I had to go online. When I went to their website, I could only access it if I accepted all cookies (which I thought was illegal…).

I entered the ticket number and had to open a chat to dispute it. I submitted my screen shots of the payment then they wanted either the last 4 or my credit card (not a chance), or the amount that I paid. They did remove the ticket and agreed that it was their error, but I can’t help feeling like they just ticket everyone hoping some people will just pay it and not dispute it.
