Las Vegas tourism authority hosts free gas giveaways in Los Angeles, Phoenix, San Diego

Who the hell do they think they are! Abolish the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority ( LVCVA) ASAP! They symbolize corruption and theft of taxpayer funds. These corporate welfare queens would never pay for a $100 per driver gas giveaway for Las Vegas locals. There's also the message this sends to Californians that Las Vegas can afford to pay for anything including water to resolve the water crisis. No one voted for the Clark County Commissioners to allow the LVCVA do steal our money so Californians that might visit Las Vegas one day enticed by a free gas giveaway. Disgusting!

All electric appliances. I haven't used the window air conditioner since last summer, my electric bill since moving in last September was on average $30-$60 a month depending on if I used the A/C a lot or space heater. This April's bill is $76.

The electric water heater is 20 years old, the refrigerator is an Amana from the 1980's, it still cools/freezes fine, I have it set to the lowest settings in the refrigerator and freezer. I have a smart 32 inch TV that's a year old- energy star certified, use it 2-4 hours per day, stays plugged in when not used. There's an electric oven and range that I've never used. The 1000 watt microwave stays plugged in when not used, its about 2 years old, I use it at most 10-20 minutes every few days. All the ceiling lights are LEDs. The exterior light is also an LED, motion detector stays on for 3 minutes. I also have an electric can opener that's a few years old, stays plugged in when not in use. I also charge the smartphone daily. Daily showers are less than 5 minutes using warm water, not boiling hot, don't take baths. There's also a stackable 23 year old washer/dryer.

Even if I left a light on or tv on all day there's no way my electric bill would increase so much. I use only cold water on the washer, longest dry cycle was 30 minutes on low heat, but I only did small laundry loads two times in April which I've done in past months. The landlord says I might have left the refrigerator or freezer doors ajar all day by mistake, but I've never done that before, not that clumsy or stupid. I think the vampire drain is coming from the fridge or water heater. The landlord said he'll do a test on each appliance to see if there's a drain, but is reluctant to say it's the appliance's fault. Any suggestions?

Thank You to anyone with advice!
