Diagnosed with POTS today
I’ve had a long journey of ER visits and fainting. My cardiologist ran multiple tests on me which came back normal and tried to pass me on to a sleep specialist until I asked about POTS. Went in for my tilt table test today and made criteria for POTS. I have some questions about how everyone else’s test went as mine was chaotic. The arm that I had the blood pressure cuff on turned blue, then blue with white splotches then full red. My arm is still swollen but less red. Also after I made criteria the doctor said to start weight lifting and that would help, problem is the first ER visit that I had that started this whole journey was in the gym. Also I was given a medication to put under my tongue which made my heart beat faster, I started to sweat, had a headache and horrible dizziness. Doctor said the pill was to lower blood pressure and that me having a reverse reaction meant that i didn’t have another disease on top of POTS, then I broke out in full body hives. Was anyone else’s tilt table test chaotic like mine?
Hello I am a 22F who is having issues with my heart and fainting, of course being already disabled by a mental disorder has made doctors think I’m faking everything. I had done some testing for a cardiologist and was in an appointment to review my test scores. The nurse asked me for my symptoms which I answered, she stepped out of the room, closed the door and shouted “I bet 1000 dollars on this one!” I then heard her ask the other nurses to look me up in the system..i didn’t hear much for a couple of seconds then they all started laughing.
