Revive my current TikTok account (469 followers) or start completely fresh for a new niche?

I'm finally ready to start posting consistently on TikTok, but I'm torn on whether to use my current account or start a brand. new one from scratch.

I created my current TT account in 2021, but I’ve only posted sparingly (maybe once a quarter). Most recently, it’s just been random nature content.

I have 469 followers (not an engaged audience) but I have 50.6k total likes because two random videos hit around 300k views a while back.

TLDR: Question about algorithm: If I stay on my current account, will my unengaged followers tank my initial watch time and stop my content from hitting the FYP? Or does TikTok favor an older account over a completely blank slate?

If you were trying to build a consistent presence in a specific niche (in this case, I’m living in a new city every month with a 9-5 job - still working on the type of content I want to post), would you prepare the old profile or just start fresh? Appreciate any insights from anyone who has tried to revive an old account!

Holy shit Portland - solo female traveler newly living in Pearl/Old Town border - how do I safely cross to the Eastside without a car?

Hi Portland! I’m a 27f, very left leaning, and I’ve solo traveled through more than 15 countries and countless major cities. I’m generally very confident navigating urban spaces on my own, but I’m really struggling with my current location right on the edge of the Pearl and Old Town. Edit: Burnside and 18th.

I don't own a car so I rely on walking to get around. The level of unpredictability and aggressive behavior on almost every block immediately surrounding my apartment has left me feeling trapped inside. I love how walkable this city is supposed to be.

I want to cross the river and explore the Eastside to get some fresh air and a change of environment.

Since I am on foot, what are the safest and most comfortable routes or transit lines to cross the Willamette from this area? Are there specific bridges I should avoid entirely as a woman walking alone?

Appreciate any real advice you can give. Help a girl out pleaseeee.
