I slipped and fell real bad and hurt my shoulder on my way to work this morning, it’s thankfully not broken or dislocated but it might be ligament tear. I’ve only just managed to lose some weight after being out of action for forever due to an ACL injury and surgery and I feel like this is gonna set me back all over again and make me gain.

I had to go into work with the hurt shoulder as I don’t get days off and in public transport of course cause I can’t afford anything different. Between work (I work in a lab so it’s very handsy) and public transport where everyone smudged up against you my hand was in pretty bad form. I also got molested on the public transport which is never fun.

My dad won’t believe that I just slipped while walking, he believes I was drunk or somehow was riding a motorcycle and fell off.

The cherry on the disastercake is my bf texted me saying he’s going to a mutual friends birthday party. (Which, I wasn’t invited to but probably couldn’t have gone to even if I was) and when I asked him who all would be there he just wouldn’t reply. It’s been hours now. Going slightly crazy with all the shoulder pain and the fact that there’s probably gonna be this one girl who’s been really really coming onto him offlate at the party.

Obviously, I wouldn’t care about her being there if he’d just reply to my message.

But anyways, dumplings!! They were so god damn good they almost made me forget all the horrors.

it was her birthday and he was kinda. downplaying that he had to go see her. I was at his place and when we wanted to leave to get food he was dressing up, significantly more than usual and I didn’t think much of it. Then she called him before we even made it to the restaurant and he said she was calling to discuss some business stuff (they have recently started to run a business together) and I said oh he should definitely go. The business is quite volatile and he really needs the money so I get its super important.

Then he said no it won’t be all business anyway and he’ll go later and I was like wdym and he was like oh I think it’s her birthday tomorrow. I was like what are you saying and he was like he’ll head to her for a small celebration with a few other people after lunch with me. I was like alright with it, and with them drinking and him staying over at hers and skipping his 9-5 today and having breakfast there. It just bothers me that he downplayed it yesterday. He could’ve just told me it was her birthday and he had plans, I really wouldn’t have thought much of it. But the “I think it’s her birthday tomorrow” and “she’s calling cause wants to discuss the business”.

oh well, whatever.

the mashed potato was fucking brilliant though it was my first time making it and despite how beige it looks it really was flavourful
