I bought a 1980s woman’s weekly cooking book for 50 cents at Flemington markets today and I’m currently duelling my 8 year old to pick a page.
The book is called “Low Fat Cooking”.

Light lunch because I had a big breakfast.
<>
- 80g turkey slices (100)
- 2 tablespoons cottage cheese (100)
- gherkins, cornichons, green olives (50)
- lettuce (whatever)
<> I rolled them up and made little parcels. Nice and light.
Trying to get from Flemington to Museum tomorrow (Sat). Looks like it’s a no-go?
EDIT: SOLVED. Looks like my TripView app was temporarily tripping. It shows services now.
For Margie’s 21st birthday I bought a Greek tile plaque which has followed us around the world. Love these pix of her with the plague in 1975 (@21), 1984 (@30), 2024 (@60) and just a couple of days ago @72. I love the series. Xxx
Dad just sent me this. Here is my mum - aged 21 at the “Athens embassy dinner” in 1975. We’re Australian, not Greek, but Dad was a DFAT.
So, Mum and Dad married in 1974, she was 19, he was 21.
Yep - still together. 52 year married. Mum celebrated her 50th wedding anniversary at age 69 lol.
If you’re interested, you can wade through dodgy cooking posts and see what they look like now (disclaimer- still ridiculously good looking).
Anyway. HBD Mum. Mum’s 72nd birthday is May 1.
