I just noticed my whole room smelled like hot plastic and I didn’t know what it was until I realized it was probably my tank heater. The temperature reads 81 degrees but I still unplugged it just incase. Some of the tank water has evaporated and I was gonna refill it later today and only like 2cm of it was out of the water, is that enough to make it do that?
This is probably a dumb question, but why do we spend weeks cycling our water just to change it? Like how does it not go back to square one? I don’t know..😭

How do I lower nitrites? This tank has been cycling for probably a month now and nitrites are just getting higher. My plants still haven’t come, will they help lower them or what should I do? This is my first ever tank so pls give advice😣

I have one email that needs parental permission for some things that she just needs to confirm and I have other emails that she doesn’t. She said she can see my activity through the email that needs her permission, can she see stuff through my other emails as well? Is it device related or just the singular email?
Ive been cycling my fish tank for a few weeks now and I only recently got the master test kit. I saw a video say do a 25% water change after it’s finished cycling, but then I saw another that said to do it when there’s an ammonia spike. Which one is it? Do I wait it out and keep adding ammonia (fish food) until it calms down to 0ppm?
