I have a question about eligibility for Dubai Connect. We want to fly Prem Eco from FRA > DXB > CHC in June 2027.

Option 1:
FRA > DXB: EK044
Approx. 15h layover in DXB
DXB > CHC: EK412 with 2h stop in Sydney

Option 2:
FRA > DXB: EK044 (same as Option 1)
Approx. 7h layover in DXB
DXB > SYD: EK414
Approx. 10h layover in SYD over night
SYD > CHC: EK412 (same as Option 1)

All legs are in Prem Eco. My understanding: Looking at each option individually, only option 1 would be eligible for Dubai Connect.

In the end, both options start and end with the same flight at the exact same time. Technically, option 2 offers the shorter layover in DXB as EK414 departs prior to EK412. Does this mean we would have to choose this option as it is the option with the shortest layover? And that they would deny us Dubai Connect if we choose Option 1.

Obviously, Option 1 would be much more comfortable using Dubai Connect over night and only having a short layover in SYD, continuing with the very same aircraft.

Edit: a 7 hrs layover should also be eligible for Dubai Connect. But Option 1 would still be better to us and it remains that Emirates might deny us Dubai Connect for Option 1 as Option 2 would be a „fastet“ alternativ.

ich möchte gerne von Amex auf M&M umsteigen und mit Alltagsausgaben logischerweise möglichst viele Meilen sammeln. Unsere Kontensituation: meine Frau und ich haben jeweils ein Hauptkonto (=Gehaltskonto). Große Teile davon leiten wir direkt aufs Gemeinschaftskonto für gemeinsame Ausgaben. Ich würde gerne Ausgaben über mein Konto und Ausgaben über das Gemeinschatskonto zum Meilen sammeln nutzen. Wie stellen wir das am dümmsten an?

Mein Gedanke: ich bestelle mir eine Hauptkarte auf mein Konto. Meine Frau eine Karte auf das Gemeinschaftskonto, da ich keine zwei Hauptkarten haben kann. Meilen sammeln dann über einen Pool. Hat hier jemand Erfahrungen? Geht das Ausstellen einer Karte für meine Frau wenn das Konto auf uns beide läuft? Und wie könnten wir beide mit der Karte zahlen (Apple Pay, physische Karte?). Bräuchen wir nicht sogar eine Partnerkarte für mich auf das Gemeinschaftskonto?

Hinweis: kommen nur Privatkarten in Frage, wir sind beide AN.
