Luke and his upbringing

A part of me always wonders, is Luke’s ignorance his fault? Or was he raised that way? Like is Luke normally ignorant and then went on a character journey to change. Or was he raised to be ignorant by the guidance of others, and then went on a journey to discover his own ideals?

The only people we see in Luke’s life are Van, Natalia and Guy. Luke treats Guy warmly, and Natalia is ruling her own kingdom, the proper way, but is different compared to Luke. Luke idolizes Van and also acts different around him.

There’s also the replacement scenario to think of, where technically in order for that to work, Luke’s body would have to physically match Asch’s. However i don’t think they can manufacture a replica’s mind. So Luke would be mentally a child in an older persons body. So it makes me wonder what is actually the cause of Luke’s ignorance.

Oh my gosh, I am so frustrated. This book shows the strengths and flaws of this series. This is a good book, I love the torture scenes and Taylor. She’s a good villain. I love that Tobias mentions that Jake is manipulating him.

Also side question, when did Jake used tobias? Tobias mentioned that Jake used him? Not quite sure what he’s referring to. Plz tell me when this happened.

I love Taylor, and the whole torture sequence and the genetic memory part. I like that Tobias gives up the names of the animorphs.

Now for the things i hate, i hate that Taylor lives. Rachel has every right and reason to kill her. But Tobias saves her 🙄 mind you she already learned their identities. He shouts it out to her. If they killed her, this would’ve solved that problem. The problem I have with the series, is these characters can’t commit. The fans love to criticize how Cassie is a hypocrite. But situations like this, I find all the characters hypocrites. They have no problem, killing aliens and other things, but they can’t kill a controller? Especially one that tortured Tobias to the brink of death, and with their identities being exposed. K. A. Applegate, plz be consistent. These kids are literally past the point of no return. Just let them kill controllers already. These kids keep saying they’re in war, but their actions don’t reflect it.

When they do the television show with Ryan, I really hope they change this scene so that Taylor dies. Either by Rachel or Tobias’s hands.

If Taylor does come back in the series, I’m not sure what to expect.
