I have been in the industry for half a year now, while I have completed shipments in UK, and the Middle East. I want to connect with buyers in the USA now. Would be very helpful if someone could give me leads. I have no idea who buys candles in the USA from India. The trade data shows that half of the candle exports (accumulating to approximately 45m worth of candles) are imported by the US.

I desperately need some contacts. If anybody in this sub is interested to import candles as a commodity for their business, or work as a commissioning agent, I would love to discuss terms. Thanks a lot!

Role

We’re looking for someone to handle basic content creation and social media posting on a regular basis.

Key Responsibilities

• Create and post content on platforms like LinkedIn & Instagram
• Write simple captions and product-related content
• Design and coordinate for creatives (Supervisory design support will be available)
• Maintain consistency in posting

What We’re Looking For

• Basic experience in social media or content creation
• Good writing skills (clear, simple English)
• Familiarity with tools like Canva, CHAT GPT (basic level is enough)
• Someone consistent and responsive

Compensation

₹5,000 – ₹8,000 per month (based on experience & workload)

EDIT (JD Addendum): Just want to tell you that this is extremely new - I am starting this business out from scratch, and have started things like incorporation a month back, with only 1 introductory post on facebook and instagram. I have what it takes to go through with it, but digital marketing is new for me. Therefore, there is a need for someone who knows how to build and manage our digital presence end-to-end—not just post content, but try and shape how the company is perceived. It required deeper understanding of the product, the buyer personalities to target, market research, paid ad mechanisms on google meta, etc. as well as understand the importance of elegant presentation, catchy and attractive creatives, ideas and designs for product presentation and displays, possibly be able to do a product shoot on their own if product samples are sent to them (preferably with a professional photographer outlook), and essentially just have a wholesome outlook towards marketing of the company.

It goes without saying that you will have my constant support in terms of everything written above, but I may need to completely rely on you for tasks which are out of my skillset (for ex. product shoot aesthetic decisions, designs, theme of the page, etc.). Therefore, it is important that the digital marketing and content manager has a creative outlook, and make sure that the company has a wholesome digital presence online for attracting buyers (since this is an export industry, we will need to target people from other countries like the UK, EU, US, UAE, South East Asia, etc.). Apart from the hard part, it definitely will be a fun journey, I am doing this because this is something which excites me instead of working a 9-5 or a 9-10 with good money, so i'll make sure this is worth your while.
