Shroud/Veil of the Darkside

I preface this by saying I did search the channel before I posted this and found nothing.

What is the cause of the Shroud/Veil of the Darkside? I couldn’t find any answer on wookiepedia. Is it just Sidieous presence that causes it? Is it an active power/ability of Plaguesis and sideous? Is it because of the death of the daughter?

In SW fanfiction I have read fic’s where it’s an ability of Sith that is maintained by Sideous. I have even read one that it’s a sith technology (like star forge), on specific planets.

If there is no official canon or legends answer, what’s your fanon idea on it? How do you portray it in your fics?

Ninjas should be light sleepers and not snore

I feel like Ninjas should be light sleepers and not snore. If they snore enemies can find them, and if they are deep sleepers enemies can sneak up and kill them.

So how would Ninjas train or fix these issues??

Hammerspace in Star Wars

I will be the first to admit I may have misinterpreted the ability from its short explanation on wookiepedia. But in Legends there is a ability called Dimension Shift. It was used by like four people (including Leia) and it’s only appeared in two sources.

Ability Description: Use of the power would shift any amount of matter either into an alternate dimension or compressing the molecules, making it completely vanish. Once the object had made its way through the space occupied by the matter, it could be recalled to its original state, from wherever the user was, leaving it so perfectly matched up that there was no evidence it had ever vanished and vice versa using the link already established.

So…yeah. Hammerspace in Star Wars…I think it should be utilized more now that it has been discovered. lol

Hyperspace distance times

How do you determine how long it takes to get from one planet to another in hyperspace for your fics? Is there a hyperspace route time generator or wiki page or do you just pull a number out of a hat??

Warrior Cultures other than Mandalorians

What warrior cultures exist in Cannon OR Legends? Obviously mandalorians are big and everyone knows them. We know of Nightbrothers, Pureblood Sith and Yuzong Vong. I am looking for cultures like the Echani and such? Something a human OC can be developed in or come from?

The yellow flash’s final goodbye

The Yellow Flash’s Final Goodbye by MetaIntellect on YouTube is a amazing AMV that I think sums up Minatos thoughts as a father and kage. It was surprising when I listened to it. It’s not bashing, it’s realistic from his POV and Hindsight.

P.s. - I still believe that what Minato did was best as a Kage, but not a father. That hasn’t changed. lol.

Internal Magic vs External Magic! Debate!

So we know that human magicians are basically magic mathematicians. They use magic formulas that cause an effect. BUT! Where does the power for said magic formula come from? We know devils have demonic power, we know Angels have light power. We know that Youkai have internal energy for Youjutsu. So that leaves us with two options, every human has internal magic power (cause any human can be a magician) or magicians use external energy drawn in to power said formulas (like McU sorcerers but universal energy not dimensional energy)

What is your thoughts? Where does you come down in this debate???

Exorcisms?

So there are a couple references to exorcisms, specifically when Archangel Michael explains the Holy Power and also Excalibur blessing. But what is an exorcism in DxD? Cause in most genres exorcisms is about evicting demons or spirits from people or places. But we don’t really see possession in DxD, especially from devils.

First weapon of Death?

So the Grim Reaper has a Scythe and has become synonymous with the weapon of Death. What was the first weapon of the personification/deity of “death” in myth?

Enchanted Telescopes vs No-Maj Telescopes

A lot of fanfics has the trope of Harry or Hermione complaining about enchanted telescopes and getting a No-Maj telescope that has Professor Sinestra in Love with it.

I don’t see any reason Enchanted telescopes couldn’t be just as good as No-Maj ones as long as enchanters/artificers kept working on the enchantments, materials and concepts.

Blocking the Killing Curse!

In ProfessorQuills “Thrown Back” fic, Harry comes up with a way to block the Killing Curse. When he does it it, it looks like the AK shatters upon impact. It turns out he is just conjuring a block of clear ICE. This is my favorite way to block the AK I have read

What are your favorite ways to block the Killing curse you have read or come up with?

Common protections?

What should be more common or thought out for protections but isn’t? I can think of three. Protecting the mind, protecting blood and protecting hair. These are things I think should be taught from a young age or have specific rituals, enchanted items or spells for that parents can do for their children. What else should be a common protection?

How many Tollan Ion Cannons to Protect Earth?

Okay, I am curious. Can someone really good at math tell me if SGCommand did get the schematics for a Tollan Ion Cannons and could make them. How many would be required to fully protect earth?

P.S. - yes the show said 38…I call BS on that with my fourth grade math skills.
