I’m about to buy my first IWC and this one is it. I’ve always LOVED the Portugieser, but it just doesn’t fit me as it’s a dressy watch and I dress casually most of the time. With as sporty as it is, I think it’s perfect. (Despite the fact that you can barely tell the time.) I don’t know, I think it’s cool.

I’m surprised there’s only one post about this watch in the subreddit here, as limited of a release it is. Sales rep also mentioned a discount, which also surprised me. What does everyone think of this piece?

I’ve been waiting on a VF Azzurro Blue Datejust for MONTHS… Finally gave up and asked the TD to switch me to a Palm Motif dial 36mm from VSF since he had them in stock.. I’ll get the VF Datejust at some point and do a dial comparison here. Those who know the Azzurro Blue dial know that the reps don’t usually come close to gen for dial color, especially the VSF V2.

Got this Azzurro Blue gen piece after waiting only four days from an AD in Texas. Picked it up about a week ago.

Fun fact: The Rolex sub banned me for posting this pic because I was “driving…” I’m not actually driving, I had been stopped for at least ten minutes due to construction stuff, which you can see in the top right if you look closely.. It’s blurry. They even banned me from messaging the mods, so I couldn’t defend myself. Had to make a new account over it.

I love my gen pieces of all brands and I’ve been a serious collector for a while. That said, Reptime is a million times cooler of a sub than the Rolex sub. It’s not even close. People aren’t pretentious and lame here in the same way they are at Rolex. Never would have bought a genuine Rolex in the first place if it weren’t for this sub.
