Hi! Have any of you financed new cabinets/counters from Home Depot or Lowe’s? We are purchasing our first home and looking to possibly finance our cabinets or counters through them and taking advantage of the no interest by paying them off within a year. What were your prices you got back? Would love to see pics of what you did. Thank you!

Looking for experiences from anyone who has gone through an FHA appraisal/inspection recently.
What items were you required to repair before closing, and what issues were noted but ultimately didn’t hold up the loan or require repairs before closing?

We’re purchasing a property in NH through a private sale from my cousin and getting a great deal on a well-maintained home with a good amount of land. The house is in overall good condition, but there are a few items we’re a little nervous about:

-Central AC system is currently not working

-Some rotting wood on a detached garage (the siding not the actual foundation)

-Older windows that will likely need replacement within the next few years, but are still functional

For those who have gone through FHA, what did the appraiser actually call out? Were there any surprises? Did they require repairs on detached structures like garages, or were they mainly focused on health, safety, and habitability issues?

Just trying to get a realistic idea of what to expect. Thanks!
