Kerala’s waste problem should not become Tamil Nadu’s problem

Kerala’s waste management needs serious attention. Dumping waste across the border into Tamil Nadu cannot be considered an acceptable solution.

This is not just a claim circulating on social media. The issue has been documented by the National Green Tribunal. In July 2026, the NGT noted concerns about cross-border dumping of biomedical waste and said that Kerala needs stronger monitoring and proper systems to prevent such dumping

This is not about Kerala vs Tamil Nadu. It is about basic responsibility.

If we are proud of Kerala’s literacy, development and the idea of “God’s Own Country,” we should also be willing to confront uncomfortable problems such as waste management.

Tamil Nadu’s people should not have to bear the environmental consequences of waste generated in Kerala. Waste needs to be properly collected, transported and treated through authorized systems, with accountability at every stage.

The responsibility ultimately lies with the authorities and the waste-management system. Moving our waste across the border does not solve Kerala’s waste problem it simply transfers the problem to someone else.

What do people in Kerala think?

Guy's oru help. Me and my friend had one debate suddenly he asked one question. I didn't know the answer. If anyone knows please share

Hey guys, I need a quick help. A friend and I were having a debate about Tamil Nadu's Chief Ministers and politicians. I argued that every CM of Tamil Nadu has always stood up for the state, voiced out against the Central Government, and spoken up on major social issues which is why they were able to become CMs in the first place.

My friend then challenged me by asking What major social issues has Vijay ever openly voiced out about? Has he ever spoken out against the Central Government? Yet he is a CM .

I didn't have a clear answer for him at the moment. Can someone help me with key points or examples to reply to him?

Talking politics with TVK followers is utterly a waste of time when their own leader doesn’t even seem to know what he is talking about. Yet his followers confidently repeat whatever narrative he throws at them without even bothering to understand the historical or political context

Now they are talking about the 1975 Emergency and MISA as if they suddenly discovered some political weapon, while displaying absolutely no understanding of the actual context, chronology, or circumstances surrounding them. I have a degree in Political Science and I am preparing for the UPSC. I have actually studied these subjects. Watching Vijay deliberately manipulate people by twisting facts, selectively presenting history, and constructing fake narratives is genuinely concerning.

What is even more concerning is that he did not properly answer the questions raised by the opposition. Instead, he deliberately diverted the discussion toward emotionally charged issues, ragebait and sensationalism so that his followers would become angry about something else and stop asking the questions that actually matter.

That is not political leadership. That is manipulation.

And the most disturbing part is not even Vijay himself. It is the people who blindly believe whatever he says without questioning him. A leader can lie, exaggerate, manipulate or distort history. That is exactly why citizens are supposed to question their leaders instead of treating them like unquestionable authorities.

I genuinely worry about the future of Tamil Nadu when political fandom replaces political awareness and when people defend a leader without even understanding the issues he is speaking about.

I never like calling people “takuri” or insulting people simply because they support a particular party. But after watching people blindly support yesterday’s speech despite all the obvious problems with its arguments, I honestly struggle to find another word for those who willingly swallow and defend such political propaganda without even attempting to verify it.

This is not about whether you support Vijay or oppose Vijay.

It is about whether you are capable of thinking for yourself.

Why is TVK targeting DMK for almost everything while conveniently ignoring AIADMK’s nearly 10 years in power? Is TVK part of bjp plan to remove Dravidian ideologies from tamil people?

DMK should absolutely be criticised for its failures, but many issues existed before 2021. At the same time, several developments happened during DMK’s tenure.

If TVK wants to present itself as a genuine alternative, why not objectively question both DMK and AIADMK instead of making everything a DMK issue?

Criticism is fair. Selective criticism isn’t.

TVK followers, genuine question: If TVK has evidence of DMK corruption, why can’t they point to even ONE person who has been arrested/prosecuted? At the same time, why welcome leaders facing corruption allegations from AIADMK into TVK? Is TVK against corruption or only against political opponents

How are TVK supporters being brainwashed by TVK fake news?

Parandur Airport is a key project for Tamil Nadu's economic development. Land was acquired with proper compensation to the landowners. Now Vijay has dropped the project. Then how will they use the land? What is the plan for the land that has already been acquired?

Is Vijay stopping the economic growth of Tamil Nadu?

The CM should study economics and understand the long-term economic importance of major infrastructure projects before taking such decisions.

Please understand that this kind of development does not happen quickly. It requires a long-term plan, proper vision, and consistent execution.

If the government focuses only on short-term plans instead of long-term development, the state will never achieve sustainable growth.

Major infrastructure projects like Parandur Airport should be viewed from a long-term economic perspective. The CM should understand that development is not about immediate results. it is about building the foundation for Tamil Nadu's future growth.

A week ago, Vijay was opposing delimitation and blaming the DMK for supporting itwithout a shred of evidence. Now, he’s suddenly backing “fair delimitation.” What changed? WTF

Is TVK Slowly Turning People Into Fools

I have a feeling that Tamil Nadu is slowly losing people who think rationally. Many people seem to be blindly following Vijay and TVK. This could result in a bigger disaster in the future, which people may not realise until it happens.

I’m not saying DMK is the best party, but at least it has a strong ideology and the courage to openly speak against the Central Government and criticise the BJP.

But look at Vijay and TVK. I haven’t seen even one prominent person from TVK openly speaking against the BJP. They don’t even seem to mention the BJP much. That makes it feel suspicious.

Anyone have the same feeling as me??
