Mary's back in the states. You know what that means...

More content in one day than she posts in a month while being the UK.

She honestly seems happier in the States but feels the need to live abroad to match some predetermined aesthetic she created for herself.

hi all! This is my 2nd child breastfeeding. With my first (my son), he wasn't much for comfort nursing and started sleeping through the night at 4 months old so I wasn't nursing at night. Around 11 months old i had a horrible viral infection and couldnt keep anything down for over 24 hours which caused my supply to nearly dry up. My son didn't really have an issue with it. He nursed a couple more times but when he realized he wasn't really getting any milk, he took his bottle (which he was trained on since birth as we were triple feeding due to tongue tie and being in daycare). We gave him formula for a month, then transitioned him to whole milk no problem.

My 2nd child, my daughter, I don't think will be that easy. Shes very big on comfort nursing. At almost 10 months old she still wakes up 2-3x/ night to nurse back to sleep. She wont take a pacifier. Thankfully she is bottle trained (although that took a while). I was hoping to be done breastfeeding at the 1 year mark. I don't mind nursing but I LOATHE pumping. Thankfully I mostly work from home so it's not an accessibility issue but 1) my milk is high lipase so I have to bag and freeze immediately or she wont take it (learned that the hard way) so the whole process gets me out of my work flow and I feel so behind at work 2) I'm constantly in work meetings/calls. I try to pump between meetings but some days work is hectic and I have to discreetly pump while in a meeting. I know I'm legally entitled to take my pump breaks but I take the meetings so that falls on me 3) pumping is only legally protected for the first year (although breastfeeding is recommended for 2 years)

SO that brings me to my question. If I start to transition to whole milk at one year but she still wants to nurse, is it at all possible to regulate my supply that I don't need to pump 3x/ day at work? I'll even take pumping only once while working. My supply is regulated now that I never feel "full" but I still pump 3-4 oz/ pump.

Would love to hear how anyone else navigated this.
