Hello, I found these near railroad tracks while working ( am a railroader) what are some things people are making with these?

I'm from the pnw, anyone that might be able to provide information on this location and if you might know where we're going to be needed the most. Just curious, trying to make a decision on if it's going to be worth giving up my pool turn for it
