So now what, recent more enshittification?

Such a big mistake ever buying into this (apple head friend of mine, with no understanding of local access and self hosting values).

So all out of the blue PlexAmp no longer works. The horrendous app from Sonos (surprised I still had that in installed) can play.

So what's the problem. Why does Sonos keep being a prick in my otherwise open infrastructure.

Did something change, more enshitification?

EDIT: Thanks for the all replies that pushed me to elaborate: I made no changes to my plex local infrastrucure this weekend. So after all the trouble i went trough to get this initially working, i assumed it was/is a Sonos problem. It is the one component i cannot control and is extreemly closed when it comes to their environment.

EDIT2: Performed a Sonos update, but no change.

Git identity: best practices for persistent environment configuration for Vibe CLI

Hi,

I'm working with workflow where I create GitLab issues, have Vibe work from them, then create MRs with branches via the following flow:

create GitLab issue → Vibe executes work → creates MR/branch → push commits

All of this is orchestrated within a Vibe skill (including glab CLI usage).

We need all commits to appear under the identity "Mistral AI", so we've instructed the agent within the skill to use a custom wrapper script (vibe-git.sh) located in the skill directory:

#!/bin/bash
# vibe-git: Wrapper for setting Mistral Vibe agent identity
# Usage: ./vibe-git <git-command> [args...]
# Example: ./vibe-git commit -m "fix: update docs"

GIT_AUTHOR_NAME="vibe-agent" \
GIT_AUTHOR_EMAIL="..." \
GIT_SSH_COMMAND="ssh -i $HOME/.ssh/vibe_agent_key -o IdentitiesOnly=yes" \
git "$@"

This works initially, but in longer sessions, Vibe seems to "forget" to use the wrapper (it even admitted this when I asked why it made a commit/push using raw git commands instead)

My Question

How do others manage persistent environment configuration with the Vibe CLI? Specifically:

  • Is there an idiomatic way to set a specific environment for Vibe?
  • Should I wrap the vibe command itself with an environment-setting script?
  • Would running Vibe inside a container (OCI or LXC) be a better approach?
  • Or is there a built-in mechanism I'm missing for persistent per-session configuration?

Any insights or experience sharing would be greatly appreciated!

Merci :)

Is the term Agent used by Mistral the same Agent as used throught the industry

I am wondering of the use of the word Agent in the Mistral ecosystem is the same as how the rest of the AI world uses this term.

I might expect too much from something called an Agent. But for me it is something that works autonomously to reach a particular given goal. For example in trading.

My feeling is that Mistral's use of Agent, is a way to provide context. When i click "create Agent" it allows me to set instructions/guardrails etc. Something indeed that one might also describe in an Agents.md. However in Mistral this is only used in Chat.

Is chat an Agent? If so this makes the term Agent so broad. I thought it was really something more specific and with more "agency"

thanks
