Advice/suggestions for tuning my ECU?

Ultimately down the line I’d be interested in tuning my ECU to get the most out of my car. Especially so I don’t have to repeatedly “octane learn” it on every fill up. I bought my 22 DCT and it now has a FMIC (CSFxBisimoto), an addw1 catch can, intake valve filter, boomba racing BOV, velossa ram air intake snorkel, downpipe and cat swap. While non of these mods might warrant a necessary tune I’d still be interested in going forward with one if possible.

I did some research on ECU tuning and have come across several angles to doing it (such as flashing the ECU, buying a plug and play device, buying a new tuned ECU) and I figured some of you guys in this sub might have some more experience and suggestions on what the best approach would be for me in regards to getting this done?

Help with maintaining carbon parts

Just bought a new Adro V2 carbon wing for my 22 Veloster N and it looks amazing but I doubt the way it comes from the factory will genuinely protect it, especially with these hot months hitting my state which will only get worse by the summer. Point being is, do any of you guys have exterior carbon parts and have recommendations on the base approach in ensuring it doesn’t take on terrible sun damage?

Is it normal to hit higher torque than advertised?

I bought my car recently and the previous owner had added some modifications to the car (although I’m almost certain the ECU is stock or was flashed back to stock) and occasionally when doing a pull, even without NGS on I’ll hit 295-300 lb of torque. Or at least it says so in the N mode menu. Is this normal/achievable in the stock version? I own the ‘22 DCT if that helps.

Reliable companies to buy these from?

Looking to buy this carbon hood and an ando V2 carbon wing online for my 2022 Veloster N but when I search up the products I get bombarded by a billion websites that sell them. Just me being overly cautious but is their any specific companies/websites you guys would recommend to acquire these from?

Mods without tune?

Recently bought a 22 Veloster N DCT with 29K miles on it from a dealership. Previous owner obviously added some parts to the car before deciding to move on. So far from what I was able to gather it has a boomba racing BOV, add1 catch can, valve cover breather filter, FMIC (possibly CSFxBisimoto), velossa ram air intake snorkel, downpipe and an after market catalytic converter alongside some exterior changes such as tires, rims, etc. Most of the mods aren’t anything crazy but the downpipe and aftermarket cat are where I’m unsure of how to approach the situation. It definitely makes the exhaust sound way better but it occasionally (twice a month) sets off the O2 sensor. After a little while of driving the engine light will turn off and even when it’s on the car never feels or reacts in a negative way. With these modifications to the car is this something I should look into tuning my ECU or other alternatives? From first glance my ECU looks stock and my OBD2 scanner isn’t sophisticated enough to read if it’s already been flashed/tuned so I currently have no way to tell if it’s already been tinkered with and since this is the first and only Veloster N I’ve driven I haven’t a clue what a purely stock one feels like to drive comparatively. Any help?

Recently I had my engine light turn on and when I’ve taken it to a shop or plugged in my code reader it states that it’s because of the O2 sensor. When I bought the car it had a downpipe and cat swap done to it and it’s believed the adapter on the O2 sensor needs to be replaced/fixed. Anyways, this hasn’t stopped me from using the NGS in the past but recently even if my car is warmed up, even if my pedal is fully down and my oil temp is fine with it in N Mode it’ll say “NGrin Shift Conditions not met”.

Maybe this has to do with the O2 sensor but outside of that I can’t think of anything else. Has anyone experienced this before or have answers on why this might be happening? If it helps I have a 22 Veloster N DCT with 30k miles.
