We are a startup that is starting to operate outside the US, first a contractor in Europe and now some revenue coming in from customers abroad.
Our current US business account makes anything cross border slow and expensive. I am looking for a business account that can hold a few currencies, take payments from international customers, and send money out without the bank taking a cut each time.
For founders who have expanded past their home country, what did you open and would you pick it again?
Running a small agency, mostly contractors. A few US folks on 1099s and the rest overseas that I just pay by transfer. Bookkeeping is starting to get messy ngl.
Looking for something that keeps contractor payments clean, makes the 1099 stuff less of a pain at year end for the US guys, and can actually deal with international payments in other currencies without choking.
We're at like 12 contractors right now and growing.
Keep seeing Airwallex come up but not sure how good it actually is for the overseas side. What's everyone else running?
