I wanted a simple card mainly for 5% on Utilities. I was planning to apply for this next year since my velocity was high right now but I checked the pre-approval tool on a whim and went for it. Probably waiting longer like I had planned to do would've got me a higher starting limit but this is exactly what I needed and the limit works for what I intend to use it for. Edit: No prior relationship with USB before application.

New to Chime hopefully this is okay to share/post? I figured I would share the details of my $350 SUB variation since I didn't know there was variations of it to begin with. Get $50 for a single qualifying direct deposit of $200+ (they confirmed my DD was qualified an my bonus will arrive within 7 calendar days). (just activated my Chime Card today an then confirmed the details of the SUB on my account with an agent since the SUB looked different from what I saw before signing up). The 90-Day Cash Back: You earn 10% cash back on your Chime Debit Card purchases. It caps out at $100 every 30 days, giving you up to $300 total across a 90-day offer period (timer starts from account creation app says 86 days left for me). To be eligible for the 10% cash back you need to continue your qualifying single direct deposit of $200+ monthly to earn up to $300 more in cash back. For the Cash Back Reward it will be transferred to your Account within 10 business days of settlement for all Eligible Purchases made within 90 calendar days of account opening. That's all I know about the $350 SUB variation I got.
