Changing facilities after being hired

I feel bad changing facilities especially since I’m about to start orientation tomorrow but the other facility that I interviewed at is way nicer and cleaner. The hiring lady there also told me that I’ll receive a job offer hopefully by next Monday latest. Will there be anything negative that will happen if I change facilities almost immediately after being hired?

Newly Certified CNA, Resume Advice

I decided to become a CNA due to seeing posts about how it’s easy to find a CNA job. I passed my exams last week and got certified, still waiting on the official certification. I’ve applied to all my local LTC centers last week and a lot of them seem to be not hiring for part time, not hiring at all or only full time. Is it due to my resume not being good enough?

Are CNA jobs common?

I passed my last state exam on 7/27/2026 and just waiting for the certificate but I’ve began applying to my nearby skilled nursing facilities. A lot of them seem to not be hiring part time/per diem/not hiring at all and they just had me fill out an application and telling me that I’ll receive a call from the facilities. I’m a bit worried that I won’t be able to find a job especially after I spent money for my accelerated CNA program. Not sure if me being a male will increase/lower my chances at finding a job as a CNA.

Straighterline for Nursing Program Prereqs

I saw this ad about a site called StraighterLine where you can buy nursing prereq courses and then after completing them, you can “transfer” the courses to other colleges to count for prerequisites. Has anyone tried StraighterLine and transferred the credits to SCC or ARC for the nursing program?

I got curious because my parents talked about having “cheap WiFi” so it doesn’t have to be fast but then I logged into their AT&T account and found out they’re paying 80/month for “Internet 25” which features up to…25 mbps download. They’ve had this internet for a while now and I’m trying to convince them that they’re being overcharged. We live in the Sacramento area and I saw that xfinity had a plan for 45/mo for 5 years and the benefits seem way better than this crap.

Edit: Changed dignity to xfinity
