Hi, I just signed up for this card, had it about a month. I recently saw they have charged me a $95 membership fee…. I signed up based on the $300 bonus offer, and first year annual fee of $0. I talked to a rep, and they said I just have the $300 bonus offer on my account. The rep was not too convincing… I posted the terms and conditions to the rep, which doesn’t say the bonus and first year $0 fee are mutually exclusive. The offer seems materially misleading, based on the membership fee charge. I guess they can tell after one month of activity that I’m going to hit the $3k threshold, and not be a debtor that they can charge high interest/fees. Anyone else dealt with this type of issue with Amex?
