Experiences with Nexplanon?

I’ve tried lots of different types of BC for my endometriosis including Mirena and combined pills and I want to try the implant to see if it will help. Basically I want something longer-term that can lessen/skip the bleeding and not rely on me remembering to take a pill or swap a patch etc. I had my Mirena removed after it started to shift out of place so I was thinking an implant might be best for me.

What are some experiences people have had with it? Positive or negative.

How to cope in heatwave?

I’ve just started my period and the UK is currently going through a major heatwave with severe weather warnings. I’m finding the heat and humidity hard enough to cope with but this is just added stress 🫠

What are some good ways to cope with having a period during a heatwave? Anything I should do/avoid?

Historical romance?

I’ve just finished re-reading Tipping the Velvet for the umpteenth time and I’m looking to find another sapphic historical romance. I’m not overly picky on time period, I guess anything up to maybe the 1920s or so? Spice is optional but encouraged.

Thank you! :)

Trying to teach in US from UK

I’m about to start my PGCE to teach English and am considering moving to America at some point after my ECT years to be near friends. Ideally to live and work in California but I know different states have different requirements.

What kind of visa would I need to teach and how long would processing times take?

Any other advice would also be greatly appreciated.

Thank you in advance.

I really hate the word “females” and how much it’s used in the series

It squicks me out every single time I read it and it just feels so gross and dehumanising. I get that Feyre and her sisters aren’t human anymore and they won’t necessarily refer to themselves as women etc but just the way the word “females” is thrown around so casually makes me feel so uncomfortable. It feels more like describing an animal than a person and I absolutely hate it.

Thank you for coming to my TED Talk.

CD 12 | Natural Cycles - Struggling to tell

This is my second test of the day. First one in the afternoon came up negative. This one I took a few minutes ago and the lines appear stronger than before but I can’t tell if it’s negative or positive.

Looking for books with a Georgian setting

I picked up a copy of The Duchess by Bertrice Small in the charity shop recently and I’m really enjoying the time period. I’ve never read historical romance novels before but between this and the Bridgerton show I think I might be hooked!

Can you recommend any books/authors for me with a similar setting? I’m happy on the medium to high smut scale, it doesn’t necessarily have to be the main focus though.

Thank you in advance! :)
