This is probably a long shot, but does anyone remember a novel about a girl with a fear of fire who gets caught up with a musician (rockstar?) who is a worshipper of the demon Moloch. The girl was possibly named Tori or Tory. She was a dancer I think. There's a couple of scenes where she's practicing a dance she calls Above Storm Surf (that name is in my head clear as day).

If I recall correctly the musician guy had a daughter he keeps locked up, whose mother supppsedly drowned? And he was intending to sacrifice his daughter to Moloch?

I read this in probably the early 2000s. Anyone know? Its driving me crazy lol

Thank you to everyone who has supported me through this.

Unfortunately Bella declined quite rapidly overnight, so the decision was made to say goodbye this morning.

I had her for 12 years and she was my little shadow.

Hey all. Just kinda need someone to vent to. Its midnight here and I can't sleep. My 13yo girl is very ill, she had some blood tests today and her red cell count is at 10%. An ultrasound showed a suspected tumour in her intestines.

I'm so scared. She's so lethargic and hasn't eaten in 24hrs except for small treats. She drank a lot last night but I didn't see her drink anything today.

We have another appointment tomorrow morning but I'm just terrified of waking up tomorrow to find her gone. I'm trying to tell myself she will, the vet seemed to think she'll be ok overnight but my anxiety is just in overdrive atm.
