Note 9 rooting

Hi,

First of all, I've had a Note 9 that I used as my main phone for years until I bought a Nothing phone in 2024 (hot garbage that died) so I went back to my trusty Note 9 ever since.

It has some cracks and screen isn't in the best of shape so I've refitted it for other purposes.

One such purpose is that I've rooted my Note 9 which was incredibly easy. Though it has me wondering if its done correctly? I've rooted Androids in the past and lately a crappy Motorola phone that I rooted with Magisk.

On the Motorola once I unlocked the bootloader I got the classic "warning" message everytime the phone booted.

On my Note 9 I unlocked OEM in settings and booted into "download mode" and to my surprise there was no "long press volume up to unlock bootloader".

I've flashed it with Magisk and all the apps says the phone is rooted properly. I'm on SM-960F so its the Exynos model which should be unlockable. Just figuring if it came unlocked when I bought it back in the days (retail). Maybe some of you know if this is typical of Note 9 models when the bootloader is unlocked?

First host - not a success

Just tried hosting my first kyogre raid. Didn't go as planned and kinda left a sour taste afterwards.

FIrst things first, I normally don't have to rely on people because my fiancee, my alt and me are enough to take down 95% of all raids.

So one morning I felt like, why not try hosting one? I've played some 600+ raids with PokeGenie and sometimes I switch between different apps.

First time hosting and yeah, not good. I wait 15-20 minutes for people to join the lobby. Lobby full - so far great.

I invite everyone to the raid lobby - great. Everyone joined.

6/6 people. Count down starts.

Immediately 2 people just drop off so the rest follows.

I invite everybody again. 5 people joins. Turns out the 6th just randomly deleted me and is not joined.

Well seems like these other people don't want to waste time on a 100% winnable raid with 5 people so everyone leaves.

Is this really the experience you people go through on a regular basis? I've played raids on 3 people, 5 people vs harder opponents and never lost a fight.

The level of the other trainers were decent, level 40-55. I guess the guy who dropped might've been higher around my level.

Completely unusable now?

First of all, I've had great success buying top-ups from Eldorado in the past months. Great sellers and fast deliveries. I have had no complaints.

I ran into ID-verif*cation (why is this word censored lol?) once before which I could skip and get a refund.

But now it's completely unusable. I could get through payments anyway in the past but lately every payment requires ID. Like what? Lets say I buy a top-up for 5$ - ID.

Literal doing all that is required is a pain in the *** let alone 2 hour+ wait time.

I've stopped using this site since then. It's a shame but really, it's enough trusting sellers with your account but trusting a platform with MY ID and sensitive data is just something I can't do.

Thanks for the time.
