work and start up side effects

everyone says the first weeks/months are hard but stick with it etc.

my main question is are you guys still able to continue going to your job through these side effect? I’ve been signed off work for 2 weeks but feel like I will need longer.

I work as a support worker and a lot of the time I can be alone in someone’s house for 24hour shift (including sleep) and I just dont think I’d manage to work with how awful I’m feeling (heightened anxiety/panic, nausea, no appetite etc)

Escitalopram day/night 1

helloo, I’ve just taken my first (evening)dose of 5mg after being on Paroxetine/paxil for 8 days. I’m convinced the side effects can’t be half as bad compared to what I’ve just experienced on Paroxetine but time will tell…

just wondering if anyone else has recently started and wants to keep in touch so they have someone to go through it with?:)

I’m taking it for anxiety/panic disorder, 25F in the uk. I am currently signed off of work because the side effects from Paroxetine ruined me

day 8 Paroxetine

I’m really considering quitting.

I’ve been prescribed 20mg for panic disorder/anxiety. Ive only been taking 10mg to start and the side effects are unbearable.

I’ve went from being an active person, with no depression to being stuck on the couch for a week and signed off of work. I feel depressed, my moods all over the place.

I can’t eat and feel sick and dizzy all of the time. I’m actually scared I’ll never be able to go back to work. My sleep was great and now it’s awful.

I recently decided to go back on meds after something at the end of March triggered panic attacks and made me slowly stop being able to do things that I was fine with before March.

My GP just says it’s up to me to either push through the first couple of weeks or to try something new but I don’t feel like I can make that decision I’m just so unsure. I don’t know how many more days I can take of being stuck on the couch feeling like this.

any advice :(?
