We just bought a house and upon move in found the sprinklers have a problem. Got a quote from one company that quoted us $1100+ but the invoice seems like things that shouldn’t be that difficult based on my reading. However, im not very handy and im willing to g to pay someone, but would like another opinion. Any recommendations?
I have two cats, one diabetic (pascal ~10 lbs) and one not (Po ~15 lbs), and I switched them both to fancy feast classic pate after the diagnosis last week. My diabetic cat will gobble it up and try to steal his brother’s, who is very anxious so I often have to separate them to eat. With their different weights, I’m struggling to know how much food to give. Pascal will probably eat as much as I would give, but I’ve noticed his BG raises if I give more than one can per meal. Po will only eat one can twice a day if I’m lucky. The box says 1 can per 3.5 lbs of body weight, so I’m lost on how two cans a day is possible enough??
Before last week they were mostly grazers. I would give a scoop of dry food and half a can of wet once a day and they would snack on it all night.
My cat (6m) was just diagnosed the other day. The glucometer came in last night so we started insulin this morning.
It’s now about 11 hours after his first insulin dose (the lowest dosage possible as far as I can tell) and his blood sugar is still dropping. About an hour ago it was 121. I feel scared to give him his evening dose as I’ll be sleeping and can’t monitor if it dips too low. Should I give him dinner and see if it spikes? Or just administer as normal?
EDIT: I do use a syringe and the dose is 1, but I gave .5 because I misunderstood instructions. The insulin is Lantus
My 6yo male cat was just diagnosed this morning. I’ve noticed the last few weeks his increased thirst, some lethargy, and weight loss. We just bought a house and all of his symptoms timed up with the move, so I hoped it was temporary stress. I was finally able to get him to the vet and they ran bloodwork and he had very elevated glucose. I’m waiting for the vet to call me with estimates of various treatments, and I want to have some questions ready.
She mentioned that some cats can go into remission if treated quickly and well. She said likely I’d give a “pen” injection twice a day and we’d monitor from there. I’m worried because I’m going on an overseas trip next month for two weeks. Should I just show my very trusted cat sitter how to do the injections? Or should I board him while I’m gone?how urgently should I get the treatment? The vet seemed urgent but not THAT urgent, but now I’m soooo anxious that I’m slowly killing my sweet boy or that he’s in serious pain. I have one other cat in the house. Will this affect my other cat at all? Should I switch foods? He’s not overweight, so I’m not sure if that’s a factor.
I do have pet insurance. What should I expect to be covered?
Some info about him: he’s a large and muscular cat but never been classified by a vet as overweight, usually weighing around 14 lb, right now weight around 10 and feels VERY lean. Hes always been very happy snuggly friendly playful and social, still is but a little less energy.

I became a fan during their self titled era, but they lost me in The Dark, and then I jumped back on ship last summer with NAv1, and I think they’ve become my absolute favorite band.
Anyways, I’m trying to get fully caught up on the lore. I know Jeff and Spencer are the current vocalists, and Garrison is drums and Sean currently plays bass. But weren’t there other members years ago? Have Spencer and Jeff always been the leads? What drama went down after Tryhard? Why do they have so many EPs and singles that never made their way onto an album?
My watch all of a sudden isn’t pairing. I’ve had it for a few years, didn’t change anything. No recent updates to the watch or iPhone. I restarted the devices, no avail. I unpaired my watch and now it won’t repair 🙃
Anyone have a solution for this?
