Purring Torbie

She purrs if I just sit down beside her, but really loves her chin and ears rubbed.

Dried Marjoram Recipes

Hi, I'm looking for dinner recipes that use dried marjoram. It's my "spice of the month", and I've already made these AMAZING lamb meatballs and ham croissants with dijon/marjoram/mayo sauce. We usually like ground beef, ground lamb, steak, chicken breast but also like tofu and any veggie. I love the sweet, similar-to-oregano taste of marjoram but struggling to find other good recipes with it. Any advice? :) Thank you.

Ingredients Meatballs: • 1 lb Gound Lamb (or mixed with beef/pork) • 1 tsp dried marjoram • 1/2 cup Panko • 1 Egg • 1 tsp smooth Dijon mustard • 1/4 tsp garlic powder • Salt and Pepper Mustard Sauce: • 1 tbsp Butter • 1 tbsp Shallot, finely sliced • 1 cup Beef Broth • 3 tbsp coarse Dijon mustard • 1/3 cup Heavy Cream • Optional: Fresh parsley for garnish Instructions

  1. Prepare Meatballs: In a large bowl, combine the lamb, marjoram, breadcrumbs, egg, mustard, garlic, salt, and pepper. Mix until just combined and shape into 1-inch balls.
  2. Sear: Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Brown the meatballs on all sides, then remove them from the pan.
  3. Make Sauce: In the same pan, melt butter and sauté the shallot until softened. Whisk in the broth, mustard, and heavy cream. Bring to a simmer, stirring constantly.
  4. Finish: Return the meatballs to the pan, cover, and cook for 5-10 minutes until cooked through.
