Hey NDSP fam!

I am new to the QC. I am experimenting with captures. I have a pretty standard setup - PRS Guitars going into QC - QC connected to Yamaha stereo monitors. I set my input levels so that I am not clipping.

I am downloading some mid/high gain captures, like the ones from Sweetwater Studios (HBE, SLO, etc)

I am noticing this real annoying white noise when playing. For example, if you just fret a note and let it Ring out, you hear this white noise wash in the background. What is this all about? Is this common with higher gain captures? In my mind, this sort of seems unusable. I guess if you're playing, you prob won't really hear it in the background, but .... is it normal?

I am (after all these years), finally in the market for a QC but I have a sneaking suspicion that I will buy this and then the new hardware will drop! hahaha.

I am not big into the NDSP community/news, etc. Has there been ANY kind of indication that another generation of hardware will drop? I know the Mini just came out, and it has some improvements like locking power supply, etc.

Anyways, just looking for any kind of help or info. Cheers friends.

Using 9.8, I connect my Kobo to my computer and Calibre is just stuck indefinitely on the 'get list of books on device'.

Note, this screenshot shows 2 minutes and 14 seconds, but this is my second time trying this. This has *never* happened before in the 8+ years I have been using the software.

Any ideas? Nothing has changed in my configuration at all except for the Calibre version number.
