The O.C.

I’m sorry, but The O.C. might just be worse than Gossip Girl 😭.

I genuinely hated that show, lol. I found most decisions & characters questionable. I hated the women, most of the storylines, & their parenting & friendship dynamics in GG. The O.C. isn’t too far behind. I honestly didn’t think I’d find another teen drama that would frustrate me this much, but here we are.

Maybe I’m judging it too early. I need to keep watching since I’m still early in the series (s1, ep27), but I doubt it. So far, it seems overrated. Is it just me?

Currently, I can’t stand Marissa, Luke, Julie, or Kirsten. 😭 Ryan’s brooding look is SO annoying to me. I understand that he’s supposed to be the quiet, mysterious type, but sometimes it feels like he has the exact same facial expression for every situation. Meanwhile, I love Seth. He’s probably the main reason I’m still watching this show. I like his personality.

And don’t even get me started on the Julie & Luke storyline. I absolutely hated it. That entire situation was so weird & uncomfortable, & I genuinely could’ve done without it.
Am I the only one who feels this way, or does The O.C. actually improve? Because currently, Gossip Girl might have some competition for the worst decisions in teen drama history!

The Finale Season of The Chi!

I’m honestly glad this is the last season. It started fading away really early w/o certain characters, & even the quality of the show went downhill. Season 8 looks nothing like Season 1. Why is it so dark? They’ve also made the show way too sensual.

I’m tired of half the characters, starting w/ Keisha. I understand everything she’s been through throughout the show, but it’s like she never truly healed or grew from it. She doesn’t have any personality at all. Her character is so gloomy & boring. She’s always sad or complaining. Don’t even get me started on the way she’s acting about Nuk.

Tiff is on my last nerve. Her entire storyline has revolved around relationship drama for so long that it became repetitive, & now she’s supposed to be a queenpin? PLEASE. Some of the things she’s said & done in this season just have me like “who tf is she feeling like!??”

I do really love Emmett’s growth, though. He’s always been a good guy; he was just making the wrong decisions. He’s grown into a great man & father, & I’m really glad the writers allowed him that development.

The show just doesn’t have the same feel anymore. A lot of the characters that made The Chi what it was are gone, & the newer storylines haven’t been enough to replace them. I’m still going to finish it because I have to see it through, but I’m definitely ready for it to end.

s/n: I’m TIRED of Victor & they could’ve left Fatima wherever the hell she was at! 🙄

Gossip Girl Reveal

Did anyone else immediately suspect Dan was Gossip Girl from the very first episode? The scene where he’s alone looking at the GG post about Serena being back instantly made me think, “It’s him.” Even knowing the writers hadn’t actually decided who GG would be yet, that scene still feels so suspicious in hindsight.

Am I the only one who had that thought, or did anyone else clock it that early?

s/n: I know the writers hadn’t decided who GG was at that point.
