Has anyone in CA used an extension on their carmax loan before? Yes, we are directly financed with Carmax Auto Finance. We are about 8 months from payoff and had a big financial emergency come up this month and want to extend the payment to the end of the loan to give some breathing room. We have never asked for one before. What does the process look like for someone who lives in CA (i know certain states have certain laws) Do they require a signed extension agreement? If so, do both parties have to sign? Can it be digital? Or is it just a verbal extension?
