Friends without kids

We spent our first night away with our almost 2 year old at a friend's cottage. They told my husband that my little one needs more discipline. This person does not have kids, or a wife. I was just shocked to hear it. He threw some food at the restaurant, but overall did great. He tantrumed a bit here and there but like... He's not even 2, was in a new place experiencing new things, and was being told no a bit (can't run on the street, needs to hold our hand at intersections, can't touch the buttons on the fan in the room, simple things). Plus, our little one is always pretty great. I think he did awesome on the trip though he was a bit dysregulated in the afternoon from skipping nap. But it's his first time being away so I totally get that he didn't want to nap. Just ranting!

Got asked if I was pregnant and am spiralling

I was out on a walk with my toddler when this much older woman asked me if I was pregnant. Then when I said no had doubled down saying how I had a belly. I just emotionally shut down and tried to encourage every little rock collected by my toddler. But now that he's asleep I'm totally spiralling. Life is already SO hard. I could really use words of encouragement. My husband was there and didn't even defend me. I'm just crushed. Am I really this fat repulsive pig to people unless I'm extra skinny?

Potty training readiness

Everything I've read says that every toddler is different. My little one is about to be 21 months and we thought we were going to potty train him at the end of the month but I'm not sure he's ready. I keep oscillating between he is and he isn't.

He tells me "dirty" and points to his diaper when he pooped

He can pull down his diaper/pants but not take them off

He can sit on the potty but he's such a busy bee he wants to get up like 10 seconds later

He asks to sit on the potty but has never eliminated in it

I'm a first time mom and I don't want to mess this up
