What is with buyers asking for refunds?

Had a guy buy a pair of shoes that were detailed exactly as described with photos taken at every single angle bc they had scratches on the leather and wanted to make sure they were all visible. This dude opens a case, whining about the flaws, uploads photos of said flaws that were the same marks seen in my photos, then proceeds to ask for a refund that would be more than half of the total cost! Um no? Trying to make it my problem bc he chose to not look through all of the photos (or this is his scheme). Return the shoes or rate me low. Idgaf. Sick of all these refund requests! It’s really gotten out of hand.

Poshmarks new thing

So, i guess every time we receive returns back now and they’re not in the condition we send them in, Poshmarks new thing is to just say “it is difficult for our team to determine the order's original condition…Rest assured, all return cases are noted to prevent future issues”. Sure, Jan, sure. You f’n said this last time. I guess sending new with tags items that you know were in fact new condition with the clearest photos provided is simply not good enough 👌🏼

Buyer return case approved, shipped return 2 weeks later

Buyers return was accepted aug 7. Posh released my funds on the 15th due to non-shipment of the return. I woke up today to an email stating the shirt has been shipped. In my near 10 years of selling, I’ve never had this happen. I’m annoyed the label was still able to be used. The case was closed and now if posh takes the refund from me, which they will, and i get a used shirt back when i sold a brand new with tags shirt, I’m going to lose my mind. sigh wish me luck

Posh marked return delivered & issued refunds to both parties

I accidentally switched labels while rushing to package several orders and beat the mail truck day after coming home from vacay. I’ve apologized up and down to my two buyers and offered a steep discount to them if they wanted to rebuy. I received one of the returns back, however the other return is where things get weird. I’ve only made this mistake one time before but was back in 2018 when i first started, so i understand this is a whole new Poshmark and not something that’s done frequently.

I first noticed i had an email from posh stating although the item was delivered back to me, they issued refunds to both myself and the buyer which instantly threw a red flag. Posh does not willingly give free money out. I check the order in the PM app and noticed that the order says the item was returned back to me. My husband confirmed it did not come yesterday while i was out of town and there was nothing on my porch this morning (big box, assumed another postal worker delivered it outside my mail delivery hours). I immediately escalate to Poshmark which is when the buyer sends me a message stating “understand that Poshmark sent you funds for the frame. I had asked for an extension to the time frame they gave me since I'm unable to take care of the return until the end of August 27 (work schedule and opening hours of the post office are an issue until then). They closed the case, though, and I no longer nave access to the return label. I won't be keeping the item since I did not need a frame, but will be happy to take it to Goodwill unless you'd like to do something else”.. Received this after escalating to PM and made them aware that the other buyer wants this picture frame and i too want the item back.

The problem, is that posh told this buyer to just keep or discard the picture frame, we were both refunded for the shirt but i was not refunded for the picture frame that was more money! I received the shirt back but that return was shipped by the other buyer. Something that is also odd to me, is how can Poshmark just mark an item as delivered when it certainly has not been? Idk, just angry at the whole situation.

Scammer buyer, delivery fail, posh is silent

Title is the TLDR

Got an offer on an expensive item that i happily accepted. The item had to go to dry cleaning, paid to have it rushed, and shipped the order 3 days later. Item was set to be delivered Monday. When i checked tracking Monday, it said item couldn’t be delivered nor returned and it was sent to a mail recovery center where it will be opened, examined and then auctioned. It has been a complete silence from Poshmark and I’m panicking a bit because this is a $1,400 item that has sentimental value to it. I tried escalating the issue to Poshmark, wrote out a whole thing only for an error to pop up which just tells me I’ve been blocked. ALL of the previous chat to the buyer is just gone. Idk wtf is going on lately, but the last 2 weeks has been nothing but issues with usps shipping and scammers. Has anyone else experienced this, and what was the outcome???

How is this possible?

I’ve never seen this happen before where a shipping label was created in one state but shipped out of another state and it’s making me a little uneasy. I bought a dress on Curtsy that was a fair price with free shipping. Seller only had 2 listings with the other one sold already but no seller feedback, no ship time, absolutely no information. Took a chance but kind of regretting it now. Can there be an explanation as to the location difference?

Suspended again…rant

As someone who hardly ever has to cancel orders, i am livid i am yet again suspended for multiple days. The first time it happened it was a 4 day suspension and was because i had to cancel an order in March for an item that sold elsewhere that oddly sold the exact same time (payout was better on curtsy), and then a buyer requested a cancellation in April. Fast forward 2 full months later, i had a live show quick listing that got forgotten about that ended up selling. I tried contacting the buyer to remedy the situation by allowing her to choose another item but to no avail. Cancelled the order. Insta 3 day suspension.

Something i learned from this, is that Poshmark is basing all of these repercussions around a 90 day time frame. Despite already having faced a 4 day suspension for those 2 previous cancellations, they still counted those 2 previous ones in this recent one. Based on the window that popped up, it doesn’t matter if the cancellation is your doing or the buyers, it still counts as a cancellation within 90 days. Never mind the fact that everything else is stellar.

I just hate this. I feel like I’m walking on egg shells all while paying this company 20%. They are treating cancellations as if it’s criminal, as if no other company in the world has to cancel orders. Shit happens. What the hell are we supposed to do in the event an item sells and i see a pull in it? A small stain that went missed previously? There are so many scenarios that can and do happen, so wtf are you supposed to do? Just ship the item? It’s very clear cancelling is a hard no. Deleting listings is a no no as is marking NFS. So wtf CAN we do? It’s still not even clear if approved cases goes against us.

Idk I’ve sat on posting about it for a couple of days because i was extremely livid but really needed someone to talk to bc it really got to me mentally. I was finally getting sales again and had much needed money coming in and then bam. I hate Naver for what they’ve done to Poshmark. These new changes against sellers is extremely unfair and very harsh, although a small part of me also understands the why to it.

Flabbergasted

Excuse my shell shocked response. I have been a seller on curtsy for about a year now, posh seller for nearly a decade, and i genuinely loved it and boasted about it to everyone. I love that you can auto import, i love that the aura feels like OG Poshmark where everyone is kind, i loved the buying experience. Idk i loved it all while it lasted. However i just noticed something quite shocking and imho a terrible business move and that’s if you import from Poshmark and don’t offer free shipping on your imported items, you are forced to pay Poshmarks 20% fee and not curtsy’s advertised 5%+$1 fee 😐 I’ve never heard of this happening but maybe im just uneducated. Idk im just flabbergasted.

Sale has no shipping label

Has this ever happened to you?? It has now been over an hour and my $100 sale has no shipping label, both on posh and email. FWIW the buyer has a buying history with 100+ reviews. In my near 9 years on posh I’ve never had this happen. Was hoping to ship out today and am not hopeful in getting an immediate response from posh.

Oh..my..god

Is this person serious??! Can’t even be bothered to wash their crap before shipping? And i thought my only issue was gonna be the one pair being listed under the wrong size. The last one sent me.
