Got the pre-facelift 18" grey replaced with facelift 19" copper

I'm a beginner and taking a reel gun might've been my only pain point right now.
I'm experienced with snorkeling, apnea, and scuba diving. So the water itself is not the issue.
But holly fuck.
My first day was annoying. Almost 2h in the water and I was too picky about shooting because the very first shot was a hassle to reload. So I only shot 3 times.
The second day was awesome. I realised early I wasn't passing the harpoon through the bands and that solved it. Managed 15 dives and ~9 shots in the same timeframe.
But still sometimes I get the mono wrapped around the harpoon and it's so annoying.
I guess I'll learn with time, but I wonder if there's a technique or trick I am missing. Any tips are welcome.
