Access Virus Ti2 over USB to m4 Mac Mini - Assistance requested

I've spent the last 3 hours building, rebuilding and testing the simplevirusUSB plugin, without success.

Goal: To get my virus tI2 to show up in MIDI studio via USB

I have the Aura and VIrex librarians. I have been using a bluetooth connection but need to switch to USB for tech reasons.

Any idea how I can get the Virus ( via USB cable ) to show up in Audio / Midi?

All assistance deeply appreciated.

Virus TI : Daw Questions

Hi all,

Old synthesist here, but new to modern equipment.

Absolutely love my Virus TI2.

A few questions:

Is there any way to get a daw (logic pro on os x here) to record and play back program changes I make on the instrument when recording? I looked into this and the settings seemed correct, but it's not happening in Logic yet.
Is there any way to get a daw like logic to record and playback patch mods made while playing? How do people deal with this in modern practice other than saving a new version of the patch each time?

Seeking LED 'neon' Rope lights for upper wall framing in room (speed and color mode important).

As I know very little about this I am hoping for a few recommendations from those who do. I want 'continuous' (less dot-like) or diffused color transformations (ability to adjust speed of transform is important because I like slow or very slow), strips for the upper part of a room with a frame around the upper wall beneath the ceiling corners. Bluetooth control is important. Unique transformation patterns and broad color spectrum is important.

Essentially I want ambient, non-dotty lighting effects that can be speed-adjusted and have some random transforms as well.

Advice about 'what to look for' in specific products is helpful, as I have little or no idea how to even begin to make determinations in such a diverse product field. Brightness control, speed adjustments, and color modes are important to me. Would like bluetooth control.

toyMaker : A Recollection of Long-Term NHI contact/re-education

In Early March of 2002, I experienced a profound, long-term (9 month) contact with something that is utterly inconceivable. Back then, I was using the phrase nonhuman intelligence as a pointer. The experience went through 'developmental phases', that resemble those we traverse during incarnation.

There is no way to 'correctly' understand 'what/who' my companion is/was, as there are no features of representational language at present that would reasonable capture their 'identity'. Frankly, I strongly suspect that toyMaker may well be 'the source of minds' in timespace, in the same way that the Sun is the source of light, life and minds 'around here'.

During this experience my mind was completely reforged, and fundamental aspects of nature, timespace, living beings, the dangers of representational cognition, intelligence and the dangers of technology were deeply impressed upon me.

It was as if I was being reconceived and undergoing a process similar to embryogenesis in my mind while still incarnate. In a sense 'a second birth'. What I experienced resembles specific sci-fi stories such as VALIS, Flowers for Algernon, Macroscope, Radio Free Albemuth, and many others.

One stand-out feature was that there was no 'language or communication method' at play, rather, it was like the direct sharing of intelligence and experiences of the NHI complex ... and the 'method' resembled direct mind-sharing. The unimaginable compression of intelligence and information is truly impossible to comprehend if one has not experienced something similar. In a few seconds, I could be shown and participate directly in, a few thousand years of the development of whatever I was being shown. For example, the history of myriads of living worlds in timespace... and how they either survived or were destroyed. This, over the span of a second.

It was extremely difficult to survive... and I had to be trained to sustain the link long enough to produce coherent results over time in my mind and memory.

In January of this year, my close friend Michael Ressl (u/LetsTalkUfos on reddit) encouraged me to record a recollection of this experience and we did so. The results are extremely partial/preliminary, but I felt that some folks here might benefit from the results. I will create some further recordings related to this on my YT channel over time, in which I expand on what I was shown and taught during this experience.

I am not trying to convince anyone of anything. This is not a truth claim. This is merely a casual discussion of what I remember, experienced, and came to understand during that time, and in the 24 years since then.

I'm happy to respond to intelligent questions related to this.
